J’ai testé la cartouche Protec PC-1C-BX avec mon nouvel humidificateur à vapeur froide de 6 litres.
Au départ, j'ai suivi les instructions écrites sur l'emballage, soit de placer la boule directement dans le réservoir. Toutefois, c'était une erreur, car après deux semaines, des dépôts roses (bactéries) sont apparus dans la base de l'humidificateur. Après un grand nettoyage, j’ai repositionné la cartouche directement dans la base, là où l’eau stagne. J’espère que cela améliorera la situation, car j’avais acheté ce produit pour prévenir ce problème.

Pour l’instant, mon avis reste mitigé : la cartouche est supposée aider à limiter la prolifération pendant 30 jours. Je sais très bien qu'elle ne remplace pas un entretien régulier, mais n'empêche que je suis extrêmement déçue d'avoir suivi les instructions sur l'emballage et d'avoir obtenu ce que je voulais prévenir. Je vois donc que c'est une erreur de placer une telle boule dans le réservoir plutôt que dans la base de l'humidificateur, et je suis déçue que les instructions n'aient pas été claires quant à là où il faut vraiment la mettre.

Ma recommandation est actuellement mitigée pour ce produit à être utilisé comme complément d’entretien. Je suis à faire le test avec la cartouche dans la base, je reviendrai ajuster mon commentaire si jamais j'ai un meilleur résultat suite à ce changement, soit de la placer dans l'eau filtrée de la base et non dans l'eau filtrée du réservoir d'un humidificateur à vapeur froide. Ce qui me désole, c'est que c'était le premier usage de ce nouvel humidificateur, je suis vraiment déçue qu'il y ait eu ces bactéries dans ses deux premières semaines d'usage tout en ayant pris la peine de les prévenir en mettant ce produit comme mesure préventive.
