    L¡¯histoire met en sc¨¨ne deux s?urs, Sally et Gillian Owens. Elev¨¦es dans leur demeure, par leurs deux tantes Frances et Jet, apr¨¨s la mort de leurs parents, elles se r¨¦v¨¨lent tr¨¨s diff¨¦rentes. L¡¯actrice arrive une fois de plus ¨¤ rendre son r?le cr¨¦dible, toujours ¨¦tonnante dans ses compositions, elle prouve ¨¤ nouveau qu¡¯elle est l¡¯une des meilleures actrices actuelles, pouvant tout jouer.
    Nicole KIDMAN est surprenante dans son r?le de Gillian. L¡¯exacte oppos¨¦e de sa s?ur, d¨¦monstrative et frivole, elle prend la vie au jour le jour, sans trop se poser de questions et n¡¯h¨¦site pas ¨¤ se servir de la magie, si le besoin s¡¯en fait ressentir. L¡¯actrice rend une performance ¨¤ la mesure de son talent, l¨¦g¨¨re et p¨¦tillante, dr?le et tr¨¨s charismatique. A l¡¯¨¦poque star en devenir, elle prouvera plusieurs ann¨¦es plus tard, qu¡¯elle est l¡¯une des meilleures actrices de sa g¨¦n¨¦ration, en cumulant les r?les diversifi¨¦s et complexes.
    Stockard CHANNING et Dianne WIEST sont tous simplement extraordinaires dans leurs r?les de tantes extravagantes : Frances et Jet. Elles am¨¨nent un niveau de dr?lerie et de complicit¨¦ rarement ¨¦gal¨¦s. Les deux actrices jouent ces personnalit¨¦s compl¨¦mentaires avec un ton tr¨¨s juste, sans en faire trop. Excellents seconds r?les. Dommage qu¡¯on ne les voit pas assez.
    Goran VISNJIC et Aidan QUINN interpr¨¨tent avec brio leur personnage respectif, le premier est Jimmy Angelov, mena?ant, jaloux et abusif, il va perturber la vie des deux s?urs, surtout Gillian, qui sera en grand danger ; le deuxi¨¨me se nomme Gary Hallett, enqu¨ºteur, il m¨¨ne une investigation sur Jimmy qu¡¯il soup?onne de tr¨¨s graves m¨¦faits, il va entrer en contact avec les s?urs Owens afin d¡¯en savoir plus, ce qui en ressortira sera une surprise, surtout pour Sally. Les deux acteurs sont impeccables dans leur personnification de r?le compl¨¦tement oppos¨¦, le premier sait se rendre inqui¨¦tant, le deuxi¨¨me sait jouer de son charme et sa d¨¦contraction.
    C?t¨¦ technique, ma critique portera sur l¡¯¨¦dition BR import Espagnol, puisque l¡¯¨¦quivalent Fran?ais n¡¯existe malheureusement pas.
    D¡¯abord, le disque ins¨¦r¨¦ marche tr¨¨s bien sur n¡¯importe quel lecteur BR fran?ais, le menu affich¨¦ est en Anglais, mais on s¡¯y retrouve tr¨¨s bien. Il y a la vraie Version Fran?aise, et ceux qui souhaitent le regarder en Version Originale le peuvent aussi, puisque les sous-titres Fran?ais sont ¨¦galement pr¨¦sents. La VF est tr¨¨s correcte, mais j¡¯ai une petite pr¨¦f¨¦rence pour la VOST, plus riche et plus pr¨¦cise. A chacun de faire le choix qui lui correspond le mieux.
    L¡¯image est magnifique, digne du support HD. Les couleurs sont belles et ¨¦clatantes, elles ressortent tr¨¨s bien. Le son est tr¨¨s net et b¨¦n¨¦ficie d¡¯une belle pr¨¦cision. D¡¯ailleurs, il y a une tr¨¨s bonne BO Pop/Rock qui accompagne le film, tr¨¨s bien mise en valeur.
    A noter que le r¨¦alisateur de ce m¨¦trage, sorti en salles en 1998, n¡¯est autre que Griffin DUNNE, acteur que l¡¯on retrouve ¨¤ de maintes fois dans des films comme ? After Hours ? ou ? Broken City ?.
    Film vraiment g¨¦nial, qui fait du bien. Enchanteur ¨¤ plus d¡¯un titre. A voir et ¨¤ revoir.
