Best investment ever! It is so quiet and I was surprised at how well it cleans! The only thing is, I have to frequently change the water resevoir as it runs out quickly. There must be an option to clean the mop heads less frequently with each use but I’m still learning how to customize my functions

On the website it says that the Freo has "millimeter level obstacle avoidance". Yet when I came home yesterday my phone chargers had been ripped out of my lamp and tangled in the Freo. And then this evening it sucked up the charger in the living room. So make sure you don't have chords on the floor or close to the floor.

Other than that it is a really good cleaning machine!! We have a dog and a cat that both shed alot and this thing really helps keep our house tidy and the noise level is a lot quieter compared to the Roomba e6 we had before this

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I have three other mop & vac robots from different manufacturers in my home and offices, so I was interested to see how this unit compared. Setup was easy: unpack and strip off warning labels, fill the water tank, download the iPhone app, and let the robot charge. Note this is a heavy unit: much heavier than any of the other mop/vacs I have. Maybe that's an indication of a better build quality, and maybe not.

The robot did a fast mapping of my house main floor, taking about five minutes to complete. That's better than some of the other mop/vacs I have used which take a much longer time to map the space. I then told it to clean everywhere, on default settings. This took about four hours for the 1500sq ft area. The robot seemed to go over some areas once or twice, and others four or five times, depending on how dirty it thought the floor was. Unlike my other mop/vac robots, this one didn't get tangled in carpet or wires and seemed to extricate itself from being stuck in tight spaces quite effectively. The robot ran back to the base station four times, and I did have to empty the dirty water tank and refill the fresh water tank almost every time, or the robot just paused. Keep in mind that the number of times it needed emptying/filling was dependent on the amount of dirt the robot detected; in routine use, a single tank fill was enough for the space to be cleaned every day. The robot does verbalize messages to indicate issues, but you have to be near the robot to hear the messages; these are also showing up in one way or another on the app.

The app lets you lay out the area and rooms quite well, and is fairly intuitive to use. I often do room-by-room cleaning as I move from room to room (and keep the dogs away from the room being cleaned), and that's easy to set up with the unit cleaning specific rooms or areas or multiple rooms and areas at a time.
When cleaning the robot mop pads, the base station makes a little noise but it's not objectionable, and there is a silent mode that takes longer to tidy up the robot, but is much more quiet. The dirt sensor lets the robot change how many times it cleans a specific area, which is a nice feature and this makes the robot stand out from the other mop/vacs I have. On that feature alone it's a solid recommendation for this unit.

I've been using the robot for a few weeks now, comparing it to the other robot mop/vacs I own, and I must admit to liking this one a lot. I still have to learn more, but it's easy to use and effective in its cleaning. There are features triggered in the app I have yet to investigate, but they seem to give you more control than the other mop/vacs I use. I will have to source replacement mop pads and dust filters, but that's true of any mop/vac.

I am impressed! This might be my favorite mop/vac.

    Follow-up

After three months of use, my opinion of the Narwal mop/vac is only better and better. Unlike my other two mop/vacs, this one has caused not a single issue and continues to do a better cleaning job than the others. The robot does a fantastic job, especially on muddy dog pawprints on tiles, and dog hair in carpet, and the app is easy to use for specific cleaning tasks. I wish my other mop/vacs were as good as this unit!

5.0 out of 5 stars Good vac mop, I recommend it

I love this little robot. I don’t have time or energy to sweep and mop my entire house. I have 5000 ft.² and it’s just a lot of floor. I have three dogs two really long-haired dogs and they keep the floor a ginormous fuzzy mess. This little vacuum has really helped. I can’t praise it enough. I can set it off every day automatically I just need to change the water which is easier than mopping this floor. I also have kids who are well… kids, always a sticky mess on the floor. my pet peeve is dirty floors. This vacuum mop has really helped me and my floors. I would recommend it. I got the lower end version. There are higher versions that automatically mix the cleaning solution, but considering I have to change the dirt water and refill the clean tank at least 4 times for a full clean of all floors, I didn’t see the need to pay for the extra plug in solution. I can add it as I go. This version of the Narwal works really well. I am very happy with the purchase.

This vacuum/mop system is wonderful! I highly recommend it. This is bi-far the best vacuum and moping system which effectively cleans my floors and carpet. I've always been on the lookout for anything that can lighten my cleaning load.

it’s been a real game-changer for my household routine. The self-washing and self-charging features are a huge win. I no longer have to worry about cleaning the mop or making sure it’s charged; it takes care of itself.
It moves around furniture and other obstacles smoothly, rarely bumping into anything. It easily navigates tight spaces and corners, making sure every area gets cleaned.

Value for Money: Considering all its features and how well it cleans, I think it’s a fantastic investment. It’s made keeping my home clean so much easier and less time-consuming.

The robot vacuum was able to map my house successfully, the battery life is a bit longer than my previous robot vacuums, the suction is also great. I saw it go over crumbs in the kitchen and it picked up without any problems, and also has a mop functionality. It has a functioning app, very easy to use. The vacuum is also very quiet. By far, this is my favorite robot vacuum and I’ve tried many as I do not like to go around the house mopping and vacuuming. 10/10 would recommend this model - worth the investment.

Overall I could not be happier with this purchase, my home is the cleanest it has been since I’ve first moved in.

5.0 out of 5 stars Perfect for a Dog Owner With Hard Floors / Great Customer Service!

Worth the hours of research it took to find. First time robot vac owner, bought off 鶹.

    Perfect for dog owner because:
    1) The base shields the robot from being knocked off
    2) Bagless (you can use $$$ bags if you wish to buy them but I just use the plastic box it comes with).
    3) Vacuums & mops in one pass
    4) Returns to base to clean its mop pads after every room. Goes back and mops again if it thinks there's still dirt.
    5) Has never been “stuck.”
    6) Simple to operate. I always just push the button on the base and run it when I’m home.

My biggest worry buying this thing happened. Mine had a problem. I had to use Narwal Customer Service. Replaced with brand new unit. Fairly efficient process, I was without a vac for ~ 2 weeks. I liked that Narwal telephone customer service was readily available (7 days a week) and responsive.

So heads up dog owners! Be sure to regularly check and clean out the mop tray! As a new robo vac owner, I never gave it a thought. The mop tray is out of sight, so out of mind, and after 2 weeks my brand new Freo Pro overflowed because the tray, I discovered upon inspection, was clogged with dog hair.

I followed the App’s instructions to rectify and it was still giving me an error code, so I called Narwal. They had me submit video showing the pertinent areas. The next day they emailed a return authorization (save your box!) and replaced it with a brand new unit, no charge for anything.

1.0 out of 5 stars Returned!! Nightmare! Buying two sharks instead!!!

    Returned after 2weeks of trying.
It does not function fabulously as advertised. It loses its mop pads EVERY time it’s run! It is supposed to lift over carpet… it does not!! It also throws off its sweeper rotating arms even though audibly SNAPPED onto posts. It will not run if missing one! In two weeks of trying it have NEVER completed a cycle! I’ve had to “rescue “ this robot vacuum more than ANY I have ever had!!
It was quite difficult set up! Less instruction in English than other languages! I had to hunt for phone number to call for assistance! Even the help person struggled! App is awful! NOT INTUITIVE AT ALL. At least not in English. it is very difficult to find where and then set up a routine schedule! Man compared to shark app this is a nightmare ! Once I finally set up a whole house vacuum only routine and saved …. when I select it it still mops! Loses a mop pad…. Then doesn’t run… have to rescue… or it docks itself and you have to hunt for the wet mop pad!! For all this frustration and outrageous price.. I’m returning and buying two shark matrix to have vacuum my whole house!! Good luck if you try the Narwal.

Vine Customer Review of Free Product( What's this? )
I am a bit disappointed with the manufacturer, the directions say to use their tablets for the mop, but they did not include even one sample, and it was not available on 鶹 or on the manufacturer's website. It is finally available after over two months. The original webpage description and the user manual did not make me comfortable randomly choosing a cleanser, so I haven’t used the mop. Using only water seemed inadequate. I've just ordered the tablets they recommend. I'll need to come back and review the mop after I get the tablets.

Before this, I had two different iRobots, one only liked straight lines, so it missed areas because the machine had a problem with the areas with something against the wall then it seemed to get mixed up and not go back for the missed spots. Each one seemed to have a preference to what type of dirt it would pick up. One had to go back to a factory reset every time I used it. It was also incredibly loud when it emptied the dirt into the bag. I usually used both, one to get some of the dirt, the other for the rest. Neither got all of it with one or two tries when instructed it to clean all. One of them refused to pick up kitty litter, it just rolled right over it. My dog was so scared of one of them he would sometimes pee on the floor out of fear which is unlike him.

So, there are great advantages to the Narwal as a vacuum. It has an easier time moving into odd, shaped areas, and works much better on my hair and my cat’s fur. I spend much less time cleaning hair out of the vacuum. And the Narwal doesn’t terrorize my dog.

So, it may cost more than the other two put together, I'd say it works about twice as well. And I only need one robotic vacuum and soon, I'll be able to eliminate a lot of manual mopping.

I've mentioned all the iRobot issues just to emphasize how much better this one is with vacuuming.
