    We got one as a gift and one to keep, as I had no idea how Pokemon battled.
    This is a two player game as advertised.
    It’s fire vs water. Even my 5 yr old realised quickly the fire deck had more powerful averaged Pokemon while water was weaker overall until you get the gyradose (water dragon) which wins all battles easily in this game. It’s all about the shuffle, beat 3 Pokemon to win. The token is plastic unfortunately, coins are cardboard. Needs a better box or bag to keep this game in as the original box ripped easily.

    It was fun to learn and play, even my 10 yr old wanted to play this with his brother. Great starter for any fan!

    My kids and I have been having a blast with this. It’s an incredibly streamlined and easy to understand version of the Pokémon card game, perfect for the little ones. Keep in mind that these cards cannot be mixed with standard Pokémon card game cards. This is a totally separate standalone card game. I’m looking forward to graduating my kids to the Battle Academy once they’re ready, but there is definitely a massive increase in complexity compared to this lol. Anyways, My First Battle is awesome.
