    I really did my research before buying and I'm glad that I did. Was looking for a quality dynamic mic that I could use for my computer needs and wow, this thing really delivers! Warning, most inexpensive interfaces will need more power to adequately drive a gain-hungry dynamic xlr mic like this. I recommend an in line microphone preamp, sometimes called a "mic activator" for anyone who intends to plug this into a cheap usb interface.

    I've got it plugged into a Scarlett 2i2 2nd gen and it can just barely can do the job. I'll be picking up an sE Electronics DYNAMITE inline preamp soon so I can dial back the gain and get even more out of this little mic. Also, this mic is not meant to be used with phantom power, so make sure you turn it off when connected to your interface of choice.

    Quick notes on the mic itself. Build quality is impressive! It's really solidly built and quite heavy. I could bludgeon an assailant with this mic and bones would break before this mic showed any signs of damage. All jokes aside, the quality of the locking knobs and the swivel function are great. It does come with a built in pop filter but if you like to put your lips all the way up to the mic for that full and rich sounding proximity effect (think broadcaster's voices) you'll want to put an inexpensive pop filter or windscreen on the mic to eliminate the plosives. Also, this mic has been tuned for spoken word, meaning it's not ideally suited for singing or recording instruments. It gives your speaking voice a really nice 'slightly edited' sound that really compliments the natural tone of your voice. The mic also has an internal shock mount which you can feel if you shake the mic in your hands. It's not perfect but it does well to eliminate a lot of noises related to bumping the desk or boom arm as well as typing and mouse use.

    This might be a podcast mic but it really kicks azz as a stage vocal mic as well. Bought it a couple months ago as a possible replacement for my SM58 and frankly never used the 58 again. Rugged build, fantastic open nearly-condenser quality sound with dynamic feedback immunity. It's a bit heavy so you might want to get a high quality mic stand for it if, like me, you're using it w/ a boom stand. Gain is a little lower than most dynamics I've worked with but nothing a decent mixer can't handle. Super happy with this purchase

    Yo lo uso con una Rodecaster Pro y necesito subirle los niveles bastantito para que se escuche bien a una distancia de algunos 40cm de la cara del usuario. Con un pre-amp (fethead) no es necesario subir tanto los niveles. Si lo usarás casi pegado al rostro de la persona, entonces no necesitas nada más.
