These are solid quality notebooks with to-do list functionality in mind. I usually like notebooks with more plain line/grid markings but having some stationery with a very specific purpose has been a nice change! This is just the right size to keep on a desk and capture some essential tasks for the workday.

The paper is not super white and has a slightly cream undertone to it in person. The pages feel nice but are not very thick. They are perfect for ballpoint or gel ink, but you do get more significant bleed-through the page with liquid ink. Considering the price, it is not too bad but still noticeable.

I find pen slots on the outside of the book useful, but the pens always get caught on things so it is nice that these notebooks have them inside near the spine instead. The slot is just large enough to fit a Pilot G2 pen, one of my favorite daily driver pens. You can also still open the notebooks easily when a pen is inside.

I am a compulsive, hopeless list lady. I have so many lists going that I’ve transferred some to binders but those are the more long-term lists. I’ve taken to using a big bulldog clip to keep all the lists I carry around together which doesn’t look very good in my purse.

I don’t enjoy always having scraps of paper but if I don’t write something down when I think of it, the thought may be lost forever or at least for the foreseeable future. I truly needed something that I could slip in my purse or knapsack or keep beside my chair or bed but that wasn’t bulky.

These pocket notebooks from Sinotato are exactly what I need. You get a set of three notebooks for $12.22 (May 2025). That works out to just over $4.05 each. For my budget, they are not the cheapest notebooks but they work really well which is more important to me.

Each notebook has relatively thick paper. I’ve used several different types of pens including gel pens and the ink has not bled through the pages. Each notebook has 96 double-sided pages which amounts to 192 pages per book. The pages are lined and have a little box to check off when something has been done. The tops of the pages have space for the date and say “To Do List”. There are 13 lines on a page (yes, I counted) and there is a box at the bottom of the page for extra notes.

I find this page set-up really works for me. I can write things down for certain dates or just wing it. It measures approximately 5-1/2” x 3-1/2”. It claims to have a lay-flat design but I wasn’t finding that it was laying flat so maybe I just need to open it in several places and press it down (like a library does when processing a new book to avoid spine cracks).

The front and back cover are black PU leather and have rounded corners. There is a yellow elasticized band to keep the notebook closed and there is a yellow ribbon to mark your place inside the notebook. There is even a section near the spine where you can insert your pen (pages are cut away in that corner).
What would make this notebook perfect for me would be perforated pages that could be removed once everything on the “To Do List” is completed. I really like these notebooks and if you are anything like me, you’ll find them very handy and convenient. Now, I have a place to rewrite all those notes on slips and pieces of papers and that is exactly what I am going to do this weekend.

Each notebook has an index ribbon and an elastic cord to keep the notebook closed. The spine of the notebook also has a channel to hold your pen. Overall this is a very nice set of features for a small notebook.

The only thing I didn't like about these notebooks is that all the pages are formatted as 'to do' lists. I would have preferred just plain lines, that is more versatile. You can still use the notebook as a plain lined book by just ignoring the 'to do' headers and the checkboxes, but its a bit annoying.

The book is kept closed with the use of an elastic band and the spine is designed to accommodate a pen so you always have what you need for minor note taking. I used to just take a picture of the shopping list board when shopping but it was awkward using a picture and keeping track of what I still needed to grab. Now I use the book which is much handier because it fits in my coat pocket and I can use the pen to tick the items as I go so that I can quickly see what's left to grab and that has speeded up my shopping experience.

Professional black notebook designed to also hold your pen. The notebooks include a golden elastic band that keeps the notebook closed and a golden bookmark ribbon. Pages all the same, essentially a place for the date and a checklist. Perfect for grocery list, homework list, appointments etc.

I like the gold accents on these notebooks. Note the ribbon, elastic and background yellow are not exactly the same yellow. Overall a good little notebook and I would buy again.

These are Task/ToDo list books given that every page is set up in this format. You can use it for general notes but I think I'd buy a book with just lines for that. For lists though, these books are fine. Well made with decently thick paper and binding that does really let it lie flat for writing. The PU cover provides a finished look and some protection from moisture, etc. The yellow elastic does a good job keeping it shut and the yellow ribbon bookmark will prove useful as the book fills up. It will provide a nice history of what you've been up to over the last number of weeks or months.

I really like the hollowed spine that holds a clip pen. Great feature.

One big improvement that would take it to 5 stars would be a perforated line down the spine for each page. That would make it easy to tear out a particular "to do" list and take it with you or give it to someone else. Having said that, these books are just the right size for a jacket pocket or the one in the back of your jeans. Definitely worth the money.

This is the perfect size notebook for me. I write big so I need some space on the page. But I like to have a pocket-size notebook with me for lists and reminders. I take notes all the time. I like that it has the stretchy strap to keep it closed, but I wish it were a more subtle color. The pages are lightweight but are firm enough for me to use a pen or a sharp pencil without tearing or ripping the paper. This is a great quality notebook.

For those who notice tactile things, the covers on these actually have the satiny feel of real leather, though they are not. Compact size makes them great for carrying in a handbag or a larger pocket. The elastic bands to keep the books closed and neat really seal the deal for me. Highly functional little books and compact enough to keep on your person.
