We recently picked up the new, smaller PS5 for my son, who has been saving up to have his own in his room. We went with the disc version since he has a big collection of PS4 and PS5 games, and it’s great that it comes with stand clips so we can place it on its side—something I wasn’t expecting. Compared to our original launch PS5, the differences are mostly size and price. It’s a newer model, but overall, it performs the same, which is just what we wanted. The best part for our household is that he now has his own system, so there’s no more fighting with his brothers over playtime. Plus, I can still set account restrictions to make sure he only plays during approved times. If you’ve never owned a PS5, I definitely recommend picking one up—it’s a fantastic system for any gaming family.
