Made of very thin papery plastic, also very affordable
I got these pots to transplant my spring seedlings. When I first opened them, I was a little dismayed at how flimsy they are. When I first showed my boyfriend, we had a bit of an argument because he was convinced that these are paper and will biodegrade into the soil. No no. These are just very thin plastic. You have to be careful manipulating them so that they don’t just crumple up. I read other reviewers find that they work OK once they are filled with dirt so I’ll be giving them a try. Though to me, they don’t look like the kind that will last more than one season. I guess we’ll find out. To me, they seem more like liners you to put a more rigid plant container, so that the drainage holes help manage moisture levels. They also come with labels, which is handy. Those are definitely more solid plastic. 13$ for 100 of these pots - so they end up costing $.13 each. they certainly are affordable. But if you’re expecting the rigid kind, you’ll be disappointed.

We get through a ton of these little seedling containers per year. We try to keep them as much as possible, but because we are managing 2 home gardens as well as a community plot and preparing seedlings for friends and family, they always tend to get lost or break in transport.

The size of these is perfect to transplant seedlings that are on the last stretch before being planted in the garden. They are big enough to allow for root growth but you can fit a lot in a small space.

They are a little flimsy but once they're packed with dirt, you don't really notice. You just need to be careful when filling up to not break them. Also, there's holes at the bottom of each container to let water flow, a very important feature.

Overall, for the price of these containers, you'll get a lot for your money. ( and some extra labels !! )

Although these pots are standard, four-inch plant pots, they are unlike the more familiar pots of rigid plastic, usually green, that I have used in the past. They are not rigid at all. In fact, the first word that came into my mind when I unpacked these plant pots was: Flimsy. The pots are very thin, and the plastic bends and crumples easily. This makes them a bit awkward to handle. However, after bending or crumpling, they also bounce back to the original shape, undamaged. Once filled with soil, they are easier to handle without inadvertently collapsing the pot. The product listing page makes no effort to conceal the very flexible nature of these pots, even drawin attention to it in one of the photos.
These pots provide good drainage, with eight large holes in the bottom. They come with 100 plastic plant identification tabs, with each tab having one pointed end for inserting into the soil. The tabs are smooth on one side, textured on the other. There is enough room on the tabs for writing necessary identification information. The tabs are flexible, not rigid, but actually are considerably more substantial than the pots, and sturdy enough that they are easy to insert into the soil.
While I first thought that these plant pots were too flimsy to be of any use, this has turned out not to be the case. They are working quite well. So far, my only problem in working with these pots is the difficulty in separating just one pot at a time from the two stacks of fifty that I received. The best technique seems to be to slip a fingernail between the rims, and gently work and wiggle them apart.
Having no experience with this type of plant pot, I have no real idea if they will last for several gardening seasons, or just this one. My hunch is that they will be around for several seasons. Where clay pots will shatter, and rigid plastic crack and snap, these just . . . bounce. And with the current price making the cost of one pot with its labeling tab less than fourteen cents, I think they are a good value, and a useful product.

My wife’s favourite hobby is everything to do with plants, including propagating them into more plants. So I ordered these Nursery Pots to replace the yogurt containers she was using. She loves that these pots provide the perfect balance of sturdiness and thinness, and that they have effective drainage. The included plastic stakes for naming each cutting is nice also.

These are very thin and won't withstand more than one season of seedlings. I usually reuse my pots several seasons until they just won't hold dirt anymore. I was surprised how thin these were. However they will do the trick next spring when I start seeds again. I like that they came with the plant labels

When I plant tomatoes in the spring, I like to use containers that are a little larger than a standard starting pot; I will put three or four seeds in each and eventually keep only the one which seems to be the hardiest. If the pots are big enough, I will only have to repot the plants once or, as is the case with the smaller Tumbler variety, not at all.
These pots are just about the perfect size. Made of lightweight plastic, they are unlikely to stand up to a second growing season but that’s fine by me. They have numerous drainage holes in the bottom so that there’s no advance preparation if you want to keep them in a tray filled partially with water. In addition, the set comes with handy plastic labelling tags for easy identification of plants.
There’s nothing particularly special about these pots. They’re well designed, being both large enough and stable for my planting needs; at their current price of fourteen cents a pot, they are a handy, economical choice. Recommended.

I used these nursery pots to start some seeds indoors, and while the seedlings haven't fully grown yet, I can say the size is just right for early stages. It is easy to move around and store when not in use. The plastic feels a bit thin, but it doesn’t feel too flimsy—it holds up well enough for what it’s meant to do.

Dodge, quality is so poor! Pot feels like it will break the moment the soil is too heavy or wet. Very flimsy.
