I use these for beekeeping, for tacking on hives wraps and other things to my hives, which requires strong tacks that won't bend or break easily like regular tacks. Maybe one in every 20 tacks will snap off, but the vast majority can be pushed right into the side of my pine-made beehives. The will eventually rust in the rain, but that doesn't matter to me. These are strong -- and affordable -- tacks.
I tried furniture upholstery tacks first, but they were worse (at least the ones I bought).
