I got these for an upcoming project with the grandson. He wants to build and wire an off grid 28 x 36 cabin on our property.
This is one of the tools we will need and at $11 for the set an affordable learning tool. This set is great for for new and experienced alike as it is made of carbon steel construction with a titanium coating.
As we all know these bits end up taking a beating and with-out maintenance and sharpening tend to splinter the edges of the drilled hole. I want to teach him right so these bits will get more sharpening then normal - that means premature wearing of the bits.
Another thing that weighted in favour of this set is the capability of being used in a driver or deep socket.
I want the grandson to experience both ways to mount a drill bit - normal tightening and quick change.
The construction is good and looks like the bits are single piece construction and not some cheap drill head welded to a round drive shank.
