Description Orion Motor Tech’s heavy-duty truck tailgate assist safely controls the descent and eases the raising of your pickup tailgate, freeing your hands, saving your ears, and extending the service life of your tailgate and truck bed’s other parts. Made of structural-grade 45# carbon steel, our tailgate shock boasts incredible strength, durability, and corrosion resistance. This tailgate shock kit works for trucks using a GMT-900 or GMT-K2XX frame: most Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500, 2500HD, and 3500HD models from 2007 to 2019. (Note that the 2007 classic models require a different design of tailgate assist, similar to those for 2006 and earlier models.) This GMC & Chevy tailgate assist installs easily within minutes, requiring only a few wrenches and a little elbow grease.
