Product description

The Gretsch Deltoluxe magnetic soundhole pickup creates versatile electrified acoustic tone and reproduces the true sound of your instrument, without the "quack" of a piezo pickup. This pickup excels when plugged into a small tube combo amp for vintage-inspired bluesy tones to Hawaiian-style slide playing and anything in-between. The tortoiseshell and chrome design is inspired by the timeless look of some of the first pickup designs from the 1940’s while also incorporating modern functionality. Includes end-pin mounted jack that is hardwired to the pickup. Easily mounts to most acoustic guitars and can be permanently mounted by a qualified technician.

    I had purchased a Recording King Dirty 30's parlor guitar for an inexpensive addition to my guitars.
    But I found the gold foil soundhole pickup very noisy and picked up all kinds of extraneous sounds when touching the guitar.
    Saw that the Gretsch Jim Dandy parlor guitar used the Deltoluxe pickup. I was having a difficult time finding a pickup small enough to fit this size guitar.
    Bought the Deltoluxe and installed it with an input jack connection. The sound is great. No extraneous noise now.
    Installed the pickup as close to the neck as possible to pick up the warmest tone possible.
    Very pleased with the Deltoluxe.

    Ottimo pickup magnetico per acustica, facile da installare e dal suono caldo e definito. Soluzione ottima per chi suona blues - rock/blues acustico. Non adatto per chi cerca un suono fedele della propria chitarra acustica. Comunque suona molto meglio di certi pickup piezo sottosella. Vi consiglio di usare corde al nickel come ad ed esempio Martin Retro Monel o simili.

    Tolles Pickup. Habe Andere, wesentlich teurere, ausprobiert und muss sagen, für den Preis ist das Teil spitze und sieht noch dazu toll aus.
    Ob es nun so klingt wie bei einer entsprechenden Gretsch kann ich mangels einer Solchen nicht sagen. Ich zupfe Country, Folk, Rockabilly und dafür passt es wunderbar.
    Da es ein ein passiver Abnehmer ist, empfiehlt sich ein preamp/di Box in manchen Setups.
    Was mir auch gut gefällt ist, dass das PU recht einfach „umgezogen“ werden kann. Ihr kennt das: hängen 10 Akustische an der Wand (okay, es sind nur 3) und du willst heute Jene und morgen die Andere spielen.
    Da mein Gefallen an Piezzos gegen Null geht, schnappe ich mir das Tagesmenue und ruckzuck, dank einfacher Klemmvorrichtung, ist das PU von einem zum anderen Schallloch umgezogen - kein Schraubenzieher nötig. Das PU sitz fest, ohne dass es die Gitarre beschädigt. Alleine, dass das Anschlusskabel aus dem Schallloch hängt ist weniger schön, aber hey, einen Tot muss man sterben.
    Abschließend sei noch gesagt, dass dieses PU nur für Stahlsaiten Gitarren verwendet werden kann, da magnetische Tonabnehmer.
    Ach ja und noch etwas: natürlich klingt die Aufzeichnung nicht wie die, die mit einem Mikro gemacht wurde. Sie klingt eher in Richtung Stromgitarre, ohne dabei aber das typische Akustische zu verlieren.
    Von mir eine klare Kaufempfehlung.
