About this item
- Wake up feeling recharged: By simulating the gentle brightening of dawn, Twilight can help you wake up feeling more recharged throughout the day.
- Sleep peacefully: At night, Twilight’s built-in scenes switch to warm, red light. Blue light suppresses melatonin, so these scenes remove it — helping you relax before bed.
- 3-in-1 functionality: Decorate your space with a blend of color, sleep and wake peacefully with science-backed scenes, and use as your bedside reading lamp. Two lights, three uses.
- Ultra-low dimming: Twilight can dim down lower than many other lamps, giving you the gentlest wake-up. And because it’s so dim, it makes the perfect nightlight.
- Nature-inspired scenes: Designed to support your circadian rhythm, six sunlight-themed scenes give you the right light spectrum, from the red-toned Sleepy to the brighter Arise.

Product description
Your guiding light from dusk till dawn. Designed to support your circadian rhythm with light, the Twilight sleep and wake-up light uses science-backed scenes to help you feel more recharged throughout the day, more refreshed when waking up, and more peaceful when going to sleep. Its back light features exclusive ColorCast technology, which uses precisely overlapping LEDs to wash large areas with a blend of colors that stay rich and consistent no matter the distance from the wall.Itgives you both a beautiful sunrise wake-up effect and a decorative light for any moment. The front light swivels left and right so you can angle it exactly where you need it, letting you position it perfectly for reading before bed. Its two buttons on the top give you instant control. By default, the dot button switches through six scenes designed especially for Twilight, while the Hue button triggers a Go to sleep automation with one touch —or you can customize the buttons any way you like. Twilight was designed to give you the best light for each moment of the day. In the morning, it simulates dawn with a gently brightening light that encourages the body and mind to awaken more refreshed and recharged. At night, the lamp switches to warm and reddish hues — ones that lack the short wavelengths of blue light, which suppresses the sleep hormone melatonin in your body — to help prepare your body for a restful sleep.Ultra-low dimming means it can dim down lower than many other lamps, giving you both a gentle wake up and the perfect nightlight. Compact and slim, the Twilight sleep and wake-up light can be set on small nightstands while allowing room for other bedtime essentials. With its black or white design and cork base, it’s a beautiful addition to any bedroom decor.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 12, 2025Verified PurchaseNot worth the money unlike most hue products. I have about 30 hue products and have been an avid collector for over 10 years. This is the first hue product to truly disappoint me. Feels like it cost about $30 to manufacture yet cost almost $400 CAD after taxes and shipping. Features are lacklustre. I will be returning it .

- Reviewed in Canada on April 23, 2025Verified PurchaseExpensive, but worth it. The built-in sleep/wake functions are great, but the mood light combinations available by having lights on the back and front of this make it really worthwhile. My wife really isn't into this stuff at all and has always stuck with a non-smart bedside lamp but as soon as she saw this she went 'ooh that's nice - I want one of those!'
- Reviewed in Canada on April 5, 2025Verified PurchaseYou cannot go wrong with Philips Hue lighting. Great quality in light and experience. The 3 out of 5 rating is due to the price for this product. The plastic lamp doesn’t feel like it’s worth the steep price. If they bring the price down to $150, then it would be worth it. Not over $300 for plastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Best lamps I ever had.
Verified PurchaseThese lamps are a little more modern than what I typically purchase so I was nervous as to how worth over half a grand two lamps would be for me. They are one of my favorite purchases. They are bright, they create a lovely ambiance to the room and the wake up lighting feature has made my mornings more pleasant. I have no regrets. I look forward to the morning light. I and the low light in the evenings. I enjoy how they compliment my other hue lights to create lighting scenes to make my room more enjoyable. This has been a mood booster. They work perfectly and were very easy to set up.

4.0 out of 5 stars Button stopped working the first day I received it! Edit: works again after resetting.
Verified PurchaseThe media could not be loaded.
Update:
Well, after reseting it through the app, it appears to be working again. I suspect it's me trying to set it up in HomeAssistant using Zigbee caused the issue, but that's still not an excuse for it to stop working. The lamp looks beautiful and all but doesn't have too much functionality. It would be a decent gift for your loved one. Re-rate it a 4-star.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Brighter Start and a Soothing End to My Days
I’ve always been intrigued by the idea of using light to improve my sleep routine, so when I decided to try out the Philips Hue Twilight Smart LED Sleep and Wake-Up Lamp, I was hopeful for some positive changes. After a few weeks of using it, I can confidently say it’s a delightful addition to my nightly rituals and a much-appreciated aid in the mornings.
Setting it up was a breeze. I was pleasantly surprised by how seamlessly it connected with my existing smart home setup. Being compatible with Alexa, it fit right into my ecosystem, and in no time, I could control it with a simple voice command. But what really won me over was the ambiance it creates. The variety of colors available allowed me to customize my room’s atmosphere to match my mood, whether I was winding down with a book or meditating after a long day.
In the mornings, the gradual increase in brightness is a gentle nudge that has made waking up a much more pleasant experience. No more jarring alarms—just a soft, sunrise-like light that lifts the morning grogginess. It’s remarkable how starting the day on a calmer note can influence my overall mood and productivity.
Evenings have become my favorite time to use it. I’ve set a routine where the lamp slowly dims and changes to warmer tones, signaling my brain that it’s time to relax. This has greatly improved my wind-down process, and I find myself falling asleep more quickly and staying asleep longer.
Overall, the lamp isn’t just about functionality—it’s about creating an experience. It’s added a touch of tranquility to my daily routine that I didn’t know I needed. If you're looking to enhance your sleep hygiene and enjoy a smoother transition between day and night, this lamp might be just the companion you need.

3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but very expensive for what they are
Verified PurchaseI bought 2 of these for our bedroom tables. They are insanely expensive for what they are. The build quality feels incredibly cheap/plastic, but they do look quite attractive, the color gradient it splashes on the wall is very nice indeed - I guess this is where they took the idea for their new 'wall splashers' (which I also bought, and are also insanely expensive!).
I am pretty tech savvy, but have to admit that I found myself a bit confused setting up the buttons on them and their automations - so in that respect I would say that they are a little more 'advanced' to use than just a standard Hue Go lamp or similar. But that said, you effectively have a Hue Switch built in to them, which offers a degree more value for money if you want to use the lamp to control your wider Hue set-up and not just the lamp itself.

1.0 out of 5 stars Not for me, I think I must have misread reviews
Verified PurchaseHi! I'm big into Apple: an AppleTV 4k, HomePods and HomePods mini, and more. So when I came across this and it was suggested I could use the AppleTV as the hub, and it would then work via HomeKit, I was intrigued. Then reviews I stumbled across suggested it might have a built in battery (does not), noting the cord disconnects (at the base of the wall plug-in, not the device, and uses one of those proprietary cords and not a standard USBC).
It's a fine device, it connected bluetooth fine (had some troubles as I misplaced the manual and online instructions weren't as clear as desired). But not being able to figure out how to get it working as a smart device, finding it won't work for me as a mobile lamp in case of power outages and such, it really wasn't a fit for me. Do your research, get a Philips Hue hub, and it's probably an excellent device for many, just not me.
