I made a silly mistake and washed this burgundy sweater with an orange sweater. So a lot of orange lint ended up on the burgundy sweater. I was so pained, especially because I was hoping to wear the sweater for my son's 2 year old birthday party. However, I got this shaver and it helped remove most of the lint as you can see in the photo. The only down side to the shaver is that if you press down too hard while shaving, some lint can get stuck in the middle hole. So I put a tiny green paper tape (shown in photo) to cover the whole to avoid that from happening. This is because I noticed that the shaving process was quicker and more effective when I pressed down. However, I gave a 4 star because, sometimes the blade caught some thread in my sweater and almost ruined it, but for some reason, it never actually sliced through the thread, it just pulls a little bit out. Apart from that, it's definitely a great tool to save some clothes that are getting invaded by lint thereby saving you some money!

Winter is almost over, and unfortunately I put my sweaters in the dryer a few times too many. This thing really helped me to remove pills and make them look a lot nicer. It was easy to use as long as you lay your clothes out flat and use your other hand to press down on the fabric near where you're shaving. I also like how the front metal grill is designed to screw off so it's easy to clean the blades.

I was specifically looking for something that's plugged in since I won't be using this thing more than a time or two a year. That means a rechargeable battery is likely to be completely empty when I want to use it, plus storing a rechargeable battery for a long time like that isn't good for its longevity. However, it's pretty much impossible to find one like that these days? My only choices were basically build-in rechargeable or battery powered, and I decided to go with batteries since I can just pop a couple in and use the shaver right away instead of waiting for hours for it to charge first. I did 3 sweaters on the two batteries provided and didn't notice a decrease in power/speed. It was a bit more slow going than I anticipated though, so I think if you're looking to depill something big like a couch you'd probably need something bigger/more powerful.

The product overall works pretty good. When it got delivered, it was in packaging that looked like it belonged on a store shelf unlike some other ones that come in a plain brown cardboard box. Although, the whole things made out of plastic which is not surprising because most other lint shavers around the same price range also are. It also has a switch to turn it on which for some reason has "0" and "1" labeled on them like it has more the one mode. It also comes with Philips brand batteries which is also a plus 😉. It has a nice blue and white design. Cleaning is also very straight forward. just take the transparent blue part and slide it back, then dispense the cotton in the garbage. It also comes with a mini brush to clean the inside blades. To get access to these blades, just unscrew the part that goes on your clothes. In my opinion, I think the best part of this product is the small, easy to carry size. One other thing I think is terrific is the price especially because its Philips branded. Overall great product I would pickup one to replace those dollar store lint removers.
