This bulb is excellent - using it in a desk lamp which previously had a 50W halogen bulb in it. Compared to the halogen, this bulb is slightly whiter (not quite as "glowing warm") - but it is still a pleasant warm white. No flickering, no noise, and almost no heat at all. Great deal!

While I can't vouch for this Philips bulb's longevity as I just installed it, but brightness and colour temp are really good. I'm so happy that after years of gathering dust, my beloved IKEA lamp is back in use.
