    I got this perlite as the bag of coarse perlite I had ordered prior to was too coarse. As I need an additional propagation box, I really needed to source appropriate perlite and this seemed to be the one. It is over all what I was looking for size wise. Small enough for the prop box but big enough to add the bulk and coarseness I need from perlite in my aroid and other tropical plant substrate mixes. I do wish it didn’t contain the amount of perlite crumbles and dust it does. But am starting to wonder if that’s not just the new norm? Sigh.

    When I bought this coarse Perlite that is what I expected it to be. When I sifted the course Perlite, I only received two thirds of coarse Pearlite when I expected 100 % of the product. I was definitely ripped off because I did not get what I paid for. I paid for 100% coarse Pearlite and received only two thirds coarse Perlite. That did not make me very happy to be ripped off.

    Its very hard to find perlite whitout any additive for my carnivorous plants but that perlite is perfect, I tested it and there is 0 minerals that dilute in water from these and it creates the perfect drainage, 50% perlite 50% peat moss by volume is great for indoor carnivorous plants. If you're looking for pure perlite at a fine price with no additive in it get those! (My plants have been growing with 50% of their substrate made of this perlite for a few months and they are doing amazing!)
