Recently I bought a 12x60 binoculars. With this power I knew that I would need something to stabilize it to have a good image. These binoculars come with a tripod mounting screw that I plan to use mainly for birds and stars watching. This make the tripod clumsy in the wood on in trails... For the same reasons, I bought several years ago a monopod for my photo camera for which I have a zoom lens.

But the attachment on the binoculars is in between the two lenses of the binoculars. And the monopod attachment could not reach the binoculars attachment without jaming the tilt and rotation of the binoculars. An attachment is available (that I ordered for the bincoculars but the screws dimensions didn't fit the monopods scews). But it comes with the different screw therad...

The ball head was the solution! For a very decent price. And it includes the screws adaptor for conversion from and to 1/4" and 3/16" dimensions.

The adjustments for the ball joint are very sturdy and easy to set ans release. And finally the is a quick release again make easy to take off and put back of the binoculars or the camera with an individual lock for both the tilt and rotate movement for a very affordable price!.

And I plan to use it for my caméra!

The bottom fitting is standard for a professional tripod, so didn't fit my very old tripod, but you can get an adaptor.

Solid ball head, especially considering the price. It is made from very durable materials and it has reassuring heft. Movement of all the parts is smooth and well-calibrated. I bought it because it has tool-free attachment of the mounting plate on the camera. The ones that need a screwdriver or coin to install just don't make sense to me, so I appreciate tripod head manufacturers who use a thumbscrew because they realize you may not always have a tool with you. I'm using this ball head on my Moza Slypod E and it works perfectly.

So I was in the market for a new tripod mount because on my other mount I lost the little top piece that twists into the bottom of the camera. I was scrolling through �鶹�� and doing research on what I wanted and I stumbled across this one. To be honest I was a little hesitant at first because it was a relatively low price point, benchmarking from comparable tripod mounts. I had some reservations when it came to build quality and mechanical capabilities. I decided to go for it anyway because I needed a tripod mount for a tip I was going on and figured, worst case Id be out a relatively small amount of money.

It showed up in two days, faster than the expected due date. When I lifted up the box, I was surprised by the weight. I opened it up and boy was I wrong. The build quality is what you would expect from a high end piece of equipment. The whole item has a nice, weight to it and gives you a nice state-of-mind while shooting because you know it is not going anywhere. It is a very stable piece of equipment. All the knobs are robust and allow for movement even with gloves on. Some of the knobs on this piece are also lined with rubber and ridges to allow for further efficiency in motion. When you unlock the swivel and rotate the tripod mount on the base it is very flush and allows for even continuous motion. The two air bubble levels on the top are also handy and accurate. There is also a little hinge that picks up off the camera screw on the bottom of the top plate to allow easier tightening and loosening of the screw without tools. Overall the attention to detail, build quality, mechanical fluidity, and overall aesthetic lends it to be a good addition to my gear. Highly recommend this mount. I am leaving on Saturday for this trip, so I will see how it performs under stress, but I have no doubts it will treat me well.
