Product description

Pebeo's Mirror Effect Leaves provide a fun and simple way to add high-gloss, mirror effects to your creations. These multi-surface transfer foils can be applied using Pebeo's Mixtion Relief Gilding Paste to add a shiny finish or to highlight and enhance artworks. Simply apply the non-colored side of the leaf over a dry, but still tacky application of Pebeo Mixtion Relief Gilding Paste and apply pressure to the colored side facing up. When foil is removed, the colored mirror effect will have transfered to the Gilding Paste. Available in five different color packs, as well as in an assorted pack. Sheets measure 5.5 x 5.5 inches.

Introduction to Gedeo Gilding

Gedeo Gilding is used to make various types of gilding and patina effects on all surface types. The product is easy to use and creates professional results. There are various types of effects that can be created with Gedeo Gilding, these are gilding, mirror effect and patina.

The ranges include leaves, 30ml pots, 75ml bottles and a 37ml outliner tube for you to choose from.

With the Gédéo Gilding and Patinas, you can enhance your creations with an added touch. Waxes and liquids to gild, gold leaf, and patinas for the most beautiful outcomes. The mixture and mirror effect sheets will produce a brilliant, modern finish to your creations.

Gilding Applications

After thoroughly shaking the bottle, apply the bronze undercoat to the surface of your choice: plaster, clay, wood, anti-rust treated metal coated with varnish, glass, cardboard... After it is completely dry, apply a layer of oxidising agent, without being excessive. The verdigris patina appears gradually after 10 minutes and runs for several hours. To fix the effect, spray on the Gédéo fixative once dry.

With the verdigris patina system, it is very easy to reproduce the beautiful bronze or copper oxidation effects. This system consists of a bronze undercoat and a verdigris oxidant. It can be used on all types of surfaces.

    Maybe I didn’t know how to use it. Not sure but I’m sad I had high expectation. I wasted all of them and they were few , four sheets I think , and didn’t do it right. I felt that I wasted my money :(. Maybe if it had more sheets should manage to use it right. Most of my art work has gold and I had big hope that this product would work . But :(

    Initially bought as I didn't know what I was doing between foiling and gold leafing. Basically what you do is put the special glue on your design, wait for it to turn transparent and tacky then rub one of these foil sheets over the glue and you have a very easy and quick non messy gilded look. Once you know what to do, you can scour amazon for similar sheets which are probably the same price but A4 size, different coloured and maybe 60 in a pack. “Go investigate” as my USA friends would say! Love Pebeo products.. have bought them for years on end when starting a new hobby as they always point you in the right direction as a newbie. Thoroughly recommended but do buy a kit where the glue is included as it brings the cost down. Enjoy! It brings another dimension to your artwork.
