Many years ago, John Spalding had a hankering for some good old-fashioned peanut brittle, like his Mother used to make. Unfortunately, after searching high & low for quality brittle, all he could find was the cheap stuff – you know, peanut brittle that is all brittle and no nuts!!! Frustrated in not being able to find any “quality” brittle and choosing not to break his teeth on the low-end stuff, John decided “he could do better”! So, in 1985, John F. Spalding dusted off his Great-Grandma Spalding's old-fashioned peanut brittle recipe (from the 1860’s) and went to work. After years of “refining” the family recipe, John discovered that by reducing the amount of sugar and corn syrup in his brittle, while at the same time increasing the number of nuts in his recipe he could produce the most delicious gourmet brittles ever made! John’s gourmet brittles have delicious peanuts, cashews and pecans surrounded in a sweet and savory layer of buttery, golden brittle. They have all the nut flavor that he craved, with just the right touch of sweetness added in. In 2007, John named his company the Brittle Brothers and has never looked back. You need only try it one time to understand why Brittle Brothers have been voted the most the delicious gourmet brittles in America!

About Us

Years ago, John Spalding’s search for good peanut brittle only turned up cheap brittles with very few nuts. So, in 1987 John dusted off Great-Grandma Spalding's old fashioned peanut brittle recipe from the 1860's and went to work.

After countless hours of tweaking the recipe, John found that by reducing the corn syrup and sugar in his recipe, while at the same time increasing the amount of healthy nuts in his brittle.

Encouraged by family and friends, the Brittle Brothers Gourmet Brittle Company was born in Nashville, TN in the fall of 2006. Take one bite and you will instantly understand why this truly is one of the most delicious brittle!!

He sent me complete replacements with an explanation of what the company believes happened to the batch I ordered here. In addition, I got some of the other flavors to try. He went above and beyond, so I am very happy to say that the batch from which the replacements came are like my first experience with Brittle Brothers Peanut Brittle. It is the best I've ever eaten.     When a friend of mine introduced me to Brittle Brothers Peanut Brittle, it was a batch she had purchased in bulk in Tennessee. Upon first bite, it melted in my mouth, and I told my friend this was the best peanut brittle I'd ever tasted. I was so excited when several packages I'd ordered arrived from 鶹. I couldn't wait to share with my hubby. Then, I bit into what had been delivered. It was so very hard; it didn't melt in my mouth. On this point (being too hard), I agree with the other review. However, since I'd had the product before, I'm going to hope that this was only a batch that was overly cooked or something. I'll buy the product again in hopes of a repeat of my first experience, but I may have to purchase it in Tennessee. We'll see.
