It takes a good 10-15 minutes to learn how to operate it, make sure you watch their YouTube video for explanation (30m long version). Then once you get used to it, it's absolutely a game changer. PS. You might consider switching to their own quick-release system (Otherwise the tripod won't fit into the travel bag)

    Are there cheaper and lighter tripods for the money? sure are! Are they as nice and compact as this one? probably? Should you still buy this one? damn rights!

    Honestly, I would buy it again, and I'd be heartbroken if I lost it. I love this tripod, but I'm a Peak Design fanboi full stop. I love their bags, straps, clips, phone cases... so when it came for a new tripod I bought this one without hesitation.

    The big issue I have is portrait mode shots aren't easy to do due to the ball head, you need to find just the right orientation. It's really been my only problem. but I love how compact it is, I love the case, I love the design. it's really near perfect!

    I'd stopped travelling with a tripod because the Manfrotti I purchased 30 years ago, though still functional was soooo heavy and bulky. This Peak Design is pricy compared to others on the market but not as pricy as the tripod and head that I'm replacing it with. I got the cheaper (aluminium) version which is still lighter than my old tripod. But, it folds down to the size of a mid-size water bottle, fits easily in my backpack and is very easy to assemble and break down. Love it.

    Although expensive, this tripod is really worth every penny. I managed to find it for 10% off and it has exceeded my expectations. I can't justify the cost of the carbon fiber model but the aluminum is light enough and is way smaller and more convienent than my other main tripod. I do wish it would go a bit higher but for what it is, its a great tripod. Well designed and good product. You get what you pay for.

    Ein sehr guter Tripod. Meinen alten nahm ich so gut wie nie mit, viel zu klobig. Hab mich deshalb nach einem "Travel" Tripod umgeschaut.
    Es gibt viele Modelle und ich hab mir dazu auch viel zu viele Reviews angeschaut. Ich hab mich für den von Peak Desing entschieden, weil er so exterm klein ist.

    Mit einem Trick kann man den Tripod auch sehr schnell aufbauen, aber vorallem schnell abbauen. Einfach gegen den Uhrzeigersinn mit der Handinnenseite alle Riegel schließen. Gefällt mir sehr.

    Conosco il marchio perché ho diversi zaini, quindi conosco bene il fatto che, una volta superato lo scoglio del prezzo, quando si ha in mano il prodotto si capisce che è di primissimo livello.
    Questo treppiedi non è da meno. Con lui è molto più semplice arrivare e piazzare la fotocamera, prima spesso evitavo di usare il treppiedi mentre ora in 4 secondi apro tutto e blocco la fotocamera.
    Non è più piccolo e leggero del mio vecchio benro, ma è compatto e facilmente manipolabile.
    La versione in carbonio costa molto di più ma è anche un po’ più leggera. Personalmente non ho voluto spendere così tanto ma comunque sarebbe l’acquisto migliore se lo si vuole usare come unico cavalletto per tanti anni.

    Non è un acquisto obbligatorio, le foto le date anche piazzando un treppiedi da 80 euro, ma è proprio sulla sua facilità di apertura/utilizzo/chiusura che farà la differenza.
    Se non volete spendere così tanto è siete disposti a perdere tempo con un treppiedi da pochi euro questo potere an he evitarlo, ma se come me ogni volta che aprite un treppiedi vi scoccia farlo perché troppo macchinoso… questo travel tripod è la scelta giusta che vi appagherà ad ogni utilizzo!
