Great for leather camera strap DIY - Note the max strap widths!
Wouldn't trust camera gear to anchors aside from those from peak design. Quality as expected, and looks great with leather straps to make some "fancier" camera straps for friends and family. The end width of the the strap you're using will likely have to be trimmed down (see attached photo) to fit into the Peak design base plate, so just keep that in mind when you pick out a strap width!
These things may be expensive but they can take a decent weight and last a really long time. I bought the kit to convert standard straps to quick release which I like when going to a tripod from the neck strap as keeping the neck strap on sometimes gets awkward.

Was a little worried from on-line reviews regarding connectors "flopping around" on camera when disconnected from strap - but turned out had no issue with this at all - minimal disruption when using camera on tripod or just hand-held. Really like the sturdiness of the product. Completely satisfied.
I hate my strap! I know we're supposed to want to protect our gear and have the strap in case of a mishap, but I hate it. This allows me to take it off easily, quickly and put it back on when situation warrants. The single-most awesome thing I bought for my camera. I can put it on for situations where I could ruin the camera in a drop, but take it off when that isn't an issue giving me freedom. Good quality, easy to use, and adds to my camera's fun. I hate the strap! These are a must for strap-haters. :)
I appreciate having this adapter available so I can use my existing straps. It's easy to install and allows me to remove the straps quickly for attaching my camera body to video accessories.
