This brand is really good skin care; I've used many of their products in the past. This was a new product for me from Paula's Choice, and like so many of their other products, I'm loving it.
One pump squeezes out a decent amount of product to apply to the face, but sometimes I double-pump it and I can moisturize my face and decolletage. The product itself is a pretty pale pink, thick and rich. It really is a part-gel, part-cream to look at, and feels cool and comfortable on the skin. There is no detectable fragrance to it (at least for me).
I've been using it faithfully for a few weeks now but on the first morning after trying it the night before, I felt like there was a noticeable feeling of plumpness to my skin. It really caught my attention, because I don't normally notice "differences" when first using skin care. I can't say I notice any difference in fine lines, etc., but if that's what you want to treat, then peptides are the way to go.
Unfortunately, after weeks of using it, I still notice something I noticed on night #1, and that is, it feels tacky when first applied. Even moments later, fingertips running over the skin will catch, if you know what I mean. This isn't a deal-breaker for me and not sure if other users noted the same thing, but I apply it to a cleansed skin and can't deny that tacky feeling. On rising the next morning there is still a residue but of course it's washed off. I usually try to use an occlusive at night so the residue in the morning is no big deal, it just feels different; definitely not slippy or greasy.
For what I feel are the plumping effects, the texture of the gel-cream, the comfort on the skin, and the quality of the company's products, I will continue using it. And in my honest opinion, it's worth trying out for your own skin. Everyone's results will vary, of course, but this product makes me feel like I'm doing something good for my skin. Highly recommended.
