Patio Black Spot Remover is currently the only product developed specifically to safely remove those hideous black spots and restore the natural colour to garden stonework. Patio Black Spot Remover will remove black lichen, green algae and white fungi from all types of stone Directions:
Use neat – DO NOT DILUTE – Pour our solution into a pneumatic garden sprayer. (A ‘Hozelock’ 5L or 7L sprayer is recommended. Do not use a hand sprayer.) Pressurise the sprayer. Apply the product to a dry surface, as a fine mist and saturate the surface. If you have not used the product before. Treat just one slab first. The older the stone, the more treatments it will require. The product will remove every single last spot. Completing one slab first will give you an indication of how many treatments your stone will require. Only when you have removed all the black spots from the first slab, continue with the rest of the area. Do not exceed the maximum recommended coverage of 5 sqm per each 1l of product. Once applied, allow to cure for 2 hours. Remove using a pressure washer, ideally with a minimum flow of 7 litres per minute. Use the fan jet attachment to sweep the dirt away. Other circular spinning attachments will not give you the best results. Any black spots that remain, simply retreat (when the surface is dry) allow to cure for 1 hour then wash off. Repeat this process until no black spots remain. Apply the Patio Black Spot Preventer 12 months later. Do not seal the patio. Ensure product doesn’t come into contact with skin, eyes or respiratory tract. In the event the product does come into direct contact with the body, immediately rinse with water. Ensure this product does not come into contact with fabrics or furnishings.

To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on 鶹. It also analyzes reviews to verify trustworthiness.
I tried many products which promised to remove the overwhelming number of unattractive black lichen polka dots in my expensive bluestone pavers. THIS IS THE ONLY PRODUCT THAT WAS ACTUALLY ABLE TO REMOVE THEM! Watch the video and follow the instructions (no scrubbing necessary) ... you will have the experience described. This won Product of the Year at the Chelsea Flower Show ... no higher recommendation ... and is only recently available in the US. Order from the company or from 鶹 ... same price. I am ecstatic to have found it!
Sure smells like bleach. Contents not listed on container. But, seems to work a bit better than household bleach. Used a power washer after letting the product work for a couple hours. But still have some of the black algae on my natural stone. Will try a second application and update the review soon.
Was skeptical, but this stuff works Took a before photo in case it didn’t, but it did Just be sure to use a pump sprayer not a hand sprayer as they advise
I found a better product for 1/3 of the price at Home Depot. This product required a 2-hour wait before rinsing, and it would've required 3 containers to clean my entire patio. The other 2-gal product was a simple process-apply and rinse with a hose instead of a power washer. Although I didn't use this product, it was overpriced due to the quantity.
