Easy to install. Easy to operate. Had to exchange the first unit though.

- Reviewed in Canada on May 2, 2017Verified PurchaseWasn't sure how strong / cheap this was going to be, until I bucked the box up off my door step -very heavy - great construction. Like someone else commented: I had to pry the door open at first - however the door was easily adjusted with a Philips and and Allen key and now opens easily
Great product and amazing price
- Reviewed in Canada on October 24, 2016Verified PurchaseAwesome in-wall safe, delivered on time and in perfect condition. This is a heavy duty, well built safe and it was easy to install. Located studs, cut out the drywall and screwed in the safe in under 15 minutes. Awesome purchase, awesome seller.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 4, 2020Verified PurchaseUpdate: My first unit was a dud. 鶹 was very good at exchanging it for a new unit. The second unit works great. No battery issues like the first unit (The first unit went through 12 batteries in 24hours)
Original review:
The manual doesn’t say how to actually install it to the wall. I installed mine in the basement between two exposed studs (saved enough room for drywall to be installed later).
I used a 9/64 drill bit to create the three pilot holes for the bolts to go into. It comes with 6 bolts. The bolts are 10mm. I used my drill to install the bolts but a ratchet would work fine.
The three bolts seems to take the weight just fine, but I actually have plywood on the bottom half of utility wall that the safe is installed on, so that’s taking the weight as well.
The two shelves can come out, but they are at the only two levels possible. So they’re either in or out. I was hoping to be able to flip the shelf over so I could have an edge on the shelf so things would roll/slide off, but it only goes in one way since it’s cut to accommodate the hinge.
The key cover has two little hooks that keeps it in place. I couldn’t use my nails to pop the cover off. I had to use something to pop it off. It’s not terrible but I don’t like scratching brand new things (my OCD)
The back of the safe is right up against some dry wall on the other side of my wall. It’s got the perfect amount of extra space for drywall to be installed on the “face” side. So it takes up all the room possible. No wasted space.

Reviewed in Canada on August 18, 2024Verified PurchaseTrès bien tu peux pas avoir mieux
- Reviewed in Canada on July 9, 2019Verified PurchaseI assumed for $100 this would be thin cheap sheet metal with a cheap plastic facing, but that would do for what I wanted it for. The plastic facing IS kinda cheap.... so I was half right. But MAN this thing is SOLID! It weights about triple what I thought it would. A cut out paper template would have been nice too, but not a deal breaker.... Quite pleased in general, at a steal at the price really.
- Reviewed in Canada on August 22, 2019Verified PurchaseFor the price. This thing is awesome. Just recommend you but the fire proof bags. Fits perfectly In between the studs. And hides nicely behind a painting/picture. If it’s found it will be difficult for entry. That would definitely need tools to get that door open or even rip it off the wall. That’s if they find it. Definitely worth the price
- Reviewed in Canada on February 29, 2024Verified PurchaseGood for small items
- Reviewed in Canada on February 4, 2017Verified PurchaseHeavy steel construction. The only disappointed I had, was trying to get it open. Every time I need to get into it, I must pry it open with a standard screw driver. Door fits very tightly it seems. So much so, that when I tried getting into it for the first time, I thought I had the wrong key or something. Either I got a bad one of the line, or there all like this. If they are all tight fitted doors, you might be disappointed like me.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good Safe
Verified PurchaseJust finished installing this wall safe. A few comments on the installation. There are no installation instructions but it's all common sense and there's a few You Tube videos out there to show you what to do. The safe itself fits exactly between two studs. IMO - Having a good stud finder made all the difference. I purchased a JAXWQ stud finder on 鶹 and it worked great. Also, I added a 2X4 on the bottom for the safe to sit on while installing the screws into the studs. Use a level to make sure everything is straight. The safe is no frills but solid. Installing the batteries and passcodes was easy. So overall, there were no surprises on install which I appreciate. You really can't go wrong with this safe for the price point.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tweaked for my needs
Verified PurchaseThis is my second wall safe and I'm very happy with this one after making some adjustments.
Comparing to the Stack-On PWS 15522, this one is cheaper but may be a bit more solid. It uses 6 bolts into the studs instead of 4. However, the Stack-On allowed me to turn off the button beeping without modifying it. I also found the Stack-On to have sturdier shelves.
As for the Paragon 7725, the first thing to note is after unboxing, I tried the key with the safe flat on my table, the safe door facing up. The key didn't work until it was tipped upright. I almost thought I had a problem since I had read a review about the key not working.
Installation was as expected. It fit easily between the studs which were just slightly wider than the safe width. I added a piece of 2x4 at the bottom to help with installation. I use a Kreg Mini Jig Pocket Hole Kit to attach to the studs on either side.
The door had a little play to it which I found irritating when hitting the keypad if I didn't hold the door closed so I added a piece of 1/4" weather stripping to the inside of the door jamb, lengthwise. (photo attached)
As many have noted, the beeping is too loud for my purposes. I didn't want to use a solder gun on the circuit board. Instead, I removed the cover to the circuit board and used a small screwdriver to carefully pop off the cover to the speaker (photo attached). Under the cap was a small metal piece which amplified the beep. With that removed, it made a very muted, barely audible beep when pushing the keypad buttons. This was perfect for me, although I realized I was proceeding at my own risk. Please proceed at your own risk if you attempt the same.
Overall, great product for protecting a few small items out of sight.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good product
Verified PurchaseLiked everything about this item. It is heavy and feels as though it will be very secure. Once the hole has been cut (which didn't take long with the aid of watching a Youtube video) the safe slotted into place effortlessly. Would recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excelente caja fuerte a precio insuperable
Verified PurchaseExcelente caja fuerte. Precio insuperable.
