    Each of the Bee Venom creams arrived cellophaned within their own box and then together. The individual Bee Venom creams also have foil security film once you remove the lid. The cream itself is the colour of pea soup (for lack of a better description) and has a faint but pleasant smell to it. Once applied the cream becomes odourless. The cream quickly absorbs and a little bit goes a long way because it spreads so easily. I used the cream on both of my knees and my lower back. The pain relief came very quickly and lasted for several hours. On my lower back, I experienced a bit of a cooling sensation that I did not feel on my knees, perhaps I used more cream on my back.
    The containers are quite small, meaning that they can fit in a jacket pocket, backpack or purse. I feel that you receive a decent amount of the cream because you only need to use a small amount to experience results. It may still seem a little pricey for some but if you experience chronic pain, what would you be willing to pay to have relief and regain greater mobility? I am completely sold on this cream and have been telling family members with knee, hip, shoulder and back pain about it. It really works.

    My wife suffered an accident at work several years ago that's left her with a dull ache that never really goes away. Acetaminophen helps a little, as does massage, but the latter is expensive, especially in Toronto. When I saw this jar of bee venom, I was intrigued - a quick Google search confirmed its purported efficacy.

    The jars are tiny - you can see one next to my keys for reference. Each jar contains an ounce of cream, made up of 5 simple ingredients, the first being 'aqua'. Fun fact: cosmetic products must list ingredients based on the International Nomenclature of Cosmetic Ingredients (INCI), which is why you always see 'aqua' instead of 'water'. Same thing.

    After water, there is mineral oil, glyceryl stearate (helps combine water and oil and adds viscosity), carbomer (thickener, emulsifier), and finally, the star of the show, bee venom, which must be incredibly potent, given that it's the last ingredient listed.

    15 minutes after applying it to my wife's shoulder, she turned to me in complete surprise and said "the pain is gone", words I hear rarely in our house. Both of us were fairly stunned and thrilled. The effect wore off after a few hours, but even the next day, the pain was lessened. This stuff is fantastic for pain relief. The only drawback is the cost - at $17, 2 ounces will last us about a week, making this an expensive addition to our pain management routine, but it's worth it.

    This works like a numbing cream. It really does work for me, and I'm pretty cynical. I was a bit concerned because I have allergies to bee stings, but this didn't create any reactions or problems. This was being used on my tendonitis (tennis elbow) and provided relief.
