ADDED SECURITY – Prevent forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door with the non-recessed door lock reinforcer; use to reinforce and repair both metal, fiberglass and wood doors

EASY INSTALLATION – All the necessary mounting hardware is included with the lock reinforcement plate for a quick and easy installation; the door reinforcer plate is pre-punched for mounting. Remove the protective film after installation
DIMENSIONS – The door lock reinforcement plate is designed for 1-3/4 inch thick doors only that have a 2-1/8 inch bore hole through the door, 5-1/2 inch on center hole spacing, with a 2-3/4 inch backset from the edge of the door to the center of the bore holes
NOTE – Make sure to dry fit the 4-5/16 inch wide by 10-7/8 inch tall with a 0.03 inch thickness door lock reinforcer before permanently installing and refer to the line art drawing and compare with your needs before purchasing

The Defender Security U 10546 Stainless Steel Lock and Door Reinforcer assists in preventing forced entry by reinforcing the weak spot of your door. It can be used to reinforce and repair metal, fiberglass and wood doors. Constructed of stainless steel, the lock reinforcer plate comes in a natural finish. All the necessary mounting hardware is included for a quick and easy installation. The lock reinforcement plate is pre-punched for mounting. The reinforcer is designed for snug fit on a 1-3/4 inch thick doors that have mortise or drive-in latches. Measuring 4-5/16 inch wide by 10-7/8 inch tall, the reinforcement plate accommodates key-in knob locksets on doors that have 2-1/8 inch bore sizes, 5-1/2 inch on center hole spacing, with a backset of 2-3/4 inch from the edge of the door. The door reinforcer is non-recessed to fit over your existing latch.

Great product. Just make sure to measure the center to center spacing. I made the mistake and ordered the wrong size as my door is 6 inch center to center spacing and not 5.5 inch as this unit is. I assumed all doors have the same spacing between door knob and upper deadbolt, but turns out not the case. My mistake, but this product is a must to reinforce a entry door.

Showed up quickly in a padded envelope. Fortunately all in one piece with no damage. All I would suggest to shipper is put something inside the unit (cardboard or styrofoam) to provide support while shipping so it doesn't get crushed. Feels well made and dimensions are as said. So just installed this, Need to watch out for unfinished edges on the inside of this item, lots of left over metal jags (burrs) on the inside from when they cut the holes, they will cut your fingers. Also they will scratch the crap out of the door when sliding into place. Over all I am happy wit this but the mounting hardware did not include 4 of the same screws, which were plated but should be stainless. Hopefully the manufacture will read these reviews and take care of a couple issues ( QC on rough finished holes and supply SS hardware/screws for mounting)

Defender Security U 10546, I purchased this hoping it would be the one to fit my front manufactured home door. Prime Line is the company that is the most reliable source for manufactured home parts. The price is very good in comparison to the local hardware stores. Unfortunately, this did not fit as it came. The vertical hole distance matched up both inside and outside, but I realized the holes in the door were not drilled to standard distance from the edge. Because this was such a good price, I marked it for distance from the edge and took it to my local steel fabricating place, who then trimmed the front and back pieces off ( at no charge), and it fit perfectly. Really gives a quality finished look along with the polished nickel door handles I got. I am so glad that project is checked off my to-do-home improvement list.
