    It’s not made of the best materials and will win no awards for fit and finish but I don’t want to deduct any points for trivial things like that at this price point. If it were 100$ or more yes, I’d expect more in those departments. All that said, none of it feels particularly cheap or flimsy either. I really like the handles and think they could’ve went cheaper there and got away with it. More and more I like Powertec equipment. This was my first time doing rails and stiles and everything ended up perfect. A big part of that was having this jig. Everything works well on this and holds it tightly. I had no worries about it being loose or anything moving during operation. It was really easy to put together and straight foward. Two different sized clamps was a plus although I’ll probably never switch it out, I like the larger one. This allowed me to make clean and accurate cuts. I’m glad I purchased this and will have it for a long time as I suspect I’ll be building more cabinet doors and drawers

    I'm using the sled currently to cut rebates into the end of some box sides. I was scratching my head to understand why my workpiece kept catching the out-feed side of my router fence and the rebate was fractionally out of alignment. I checked and double checked and the fence was completely coplanar. It transpires that the issue is the adjustable parallel fence on the sled. It's made of quite a flimsy plastic which distorts when the workpiece makes contact with the router bit, allowing the workpiece to twist/pivot slightly. Now I know what the issue is, my next job it to make a new fence from hardwood and add some high friction material to the bottom and side to make sure it can't flex in operation.
