So amazing! Should have replaced the old ones years ago!

So amazing! Should have replaced the old ones years ago!
This was a perfect replacement to the original equipment. Installation was exceptionally easy. Would definitely recommend. The old stabilizer jacks had become rusted and difficult to deploy oh, but they were even harder to retract. If you're fighting with your old stabilizers, save yourself the headache. I should have installed these two years ago. They are sturdy, stable when deployed. But most important everyone in the family now can deploy and retract these Jacks with little effort.

I just installed these stabilizers last week. They were very easy to install. They come with do two self tapping screws for each stabilizer.

I pre drilled with a 7/64” bit first and then simply used my Dewalt Electric drill to drive them in to the aluminum.

My first trip this past weekend was a success and they worked perfectly!

I bought these to install at the back of an ATV dump trailer to stabilize it when dumping heavy loads. It works perfectly for this particular application, because the jacks take only a portion of the load. However, I wouldn't use these for uses involving heavier loads, especially in safety critical applications. They are well made, but IMHO the gauge of the metal and the locking mechanism are not sturdy enough to handle a 1000 lbs load safely... (hence the 4 stars rating)

Perfect to keep my 6x12 enclosed trailer from tipping when loading /unloading my ATV or whatever. It appears to be well made and more than sufficient to keep the trailer stable. Update... I had to add 1/4 spacers between frame of trailer and the stabilizers. because it would not retract flush. This meant I had to buy longer screws also. This was noted in a review from another buyer.

Took the old stabilizers off because they suck and I damaged one of them while traveling. OK, first off, its a different design so it had me stumped how to exactly mount them. I didn't want to crawl under the trailer to get at them. So we mounted them vertical on the trailers main frame just before the bumper. This is in the little area where they are totally exposed. You can extend them with your hands, use you feet to get the right height and bam! ALL GOOD. They fold up in the spot between the bumper and the trailer, in view. Looks great, works great. So disregard the reviews that said it was hard to get at the mounting holes. Just mark them with a felt marker and drill em out like a normal person, THEN put the jack over the holes and screw em in. Use a socket. Its so easy. I think I used a 5/16 drill bit.

Arrived quickly. Seem well built. Now, do I send them back or not? My new trailer is mounted on two heavy duty rectangular tubing rails front to back with good ol Canadian steel square tubing cross members sitting on top. mounting them on the main rails has them going front to back and will not work for stability. I can get them up on the cross members which puts them completely out of the way for travel but is going to have me on my back fishing them out of there. Also getting the bolts in looks really difficult and can only be done with a box wrench. Plus to use that box wrench I have to move them more inward toward the center of the trailer and not butted against the main rail for best stability. Don't say weld em, it aint happening here. So they could be going back in exchange for scissors types.
