About this item

Fits most wheelbarrows and snowblower, small lawn and garden equipment. Replaces tire sizes: 13” – 16” diameter range. Compatible Replacement Sizes include: 4.80/4.00-8", 4.00-8”, 4.00-6”, 3.50/2.50-8”.
This pneumatic replacement wheel has a 14.5" diameter, 3" centered hub, and 5/8" bearing. 400lb load capacity. Adapter kit includes 2 X 1” wheel spacers, 4 X ½” wheel spacers, and 2 X ¾” bushings. Please check your existing tire sidewall for tire, hub and bearing size to ensure that this wheel is a proper fit.
Pneumatic wheels have tires that are filled with air to cushion loads against shock and vibration. Provide a quieter, more cushioned ride than semi pneumatic and flat-free wheels, but they are more susceptible to punctures and require more maintenance to keep the tires filled to the correct pressure

The tire and rim combination plus inner tube and adapters was just what I needed for my old wheelbarrow. Priced right considering you can pay double the price easily. On �鶹�� you have "look" at the different sellers quite often to get to the best price. Usually the most expensive appear first for choices. This 14.5 rim and inflatable tire combination is the cheapest to be had. The tire itself is probably 1ply and could puncture depending what your pushing over with a heavy load, if it happens, it happens. You can't expect the tire to be as tough as a 2ply. In this price range it's a good deal.

not the best for 3/4 axle

This is one of the few wheels I could find that would even work for 3/4 axle and not have a hub too long. It is designed for a 5/8 axle and came with 5/8 bearings in place as advertised. The pictured information on the website suggest that this can also be used on a 3/4 axle, which, in truth, it can. However one has to remove the 5/8 bearings supplied using a bit of force: a bit tricky, and then use the 3/4 synthetic bushing adapters, which results in no real bearings - definitely a substandard arrangement. I was lucky - I was able to extract the bearings from my previous wheels and insert them instead, for a good fit.
Note that the variety of shaft spacers supplied are useful only for 5/8 axle.
And, it is also not clear to me how the grease fitting can get grease to a useful lubrication spot.

I'm thinking It would have been better to offer this product with bearings of two diameters, or alternately a 3/4 axle bearing installed with a 3/4 to 5/8 metal axle bushing.

It's perfect for my Tuffx wheelbarrow. Way better than the one that came with the wheelbarrow originally which was plastic and didn't last. This wheel has a quality metal rim with a grease fitting, and a good tire. And it cost way less than the original wheel replacement. I'm sure this will last the life of the wheelbarrow.
