About this item

  • Enhanced Stability: Designed to support the king pin beneath the overhang of a fifth wheel or trailer, this tripod stabilizer minimizes the side-to-side and front-to-back rocking that RVers often experience while moving around inside their rig.
  • Heavy-Duty Construction: Made from robust steel with a rust-resistant powder-coated finish, this stabilizer offers long-lasting durability. The zinc-plated chain further enhances its strength and corrosion resistance.
  • Simple Height Adjustment: With a load capacity of 5,000 lbs, this stabilizer is adjustable from 35" to 57" in height. Fine-tune the stability by easily moving the foot pads in or out and adjusting the stabilizing lever.
  • Complete Set Included: Comes with everything needed for a quick and straightforward setup: one hitch cup, zinc-plated chain, three bottom pads, three sets of locking nuts and bolts, one top connector with three leg assembly, and an adjusting rod.
  • Two-year limited quality warranty. PEAKTOW is a Canadian owned and operated company. If you have any questions, comments, or issues, please contact us through 鶹 message. Solid. Well built. Yes, it does help control the shake.

Solid. Well built. Yes, it does help control the shake.
I will admit, I’ve always been intrigued by 5th wheel tripods. Do they work? Are they worth hauling around the extra bulk and weight? Well, I’m here to help you make that decision. First off, be warned. The box this baby arrives in is heavy. Upon un-boxing I was a impressed with the parts storage. Everything comes in its own neat little baggie. Yes, you will need to assemble this yourself. Don’t worry, it requires little skill and only one hand tool. You’ve got this. There were no instructions inside but that’s okay. It really wasn’t hard to figure out. Some bolts, washers and nuts. Assembly took me about 10 minutes. The provided chain is super thick and, in my opinion, longer than it needs to be buy hey, I’m no engineer. You can adjust the height of the tri-pod in two ways. By spreading the legs of the tripod apart and then locking it in that position with the chain. After you get it close you use the provided steel bar (with a convenient holder on one of the legs) to spin the little “cup thingie” (non -official term) up under the kingpin until it fits snuggly. Now the big question; Does it work? In my humble opinion, yes. To a degree. I’m already using strong arm stabilizers which as far as I’m concerned, are the best device out there for keeping a rig shake free, but the addition of the tripod seemed to make the front bedroom area of the trailer much more solid. Sometimes you really don’t want the bedroom shaking when your trailer is 10 feet from the neighbours if you know what I mean. Sure, you were just putting on the sheets. I like this product. It’s manufactured in Quebec. Made in Canada is important to me. The build is solid. It feels well put together. Other than the additional weight you have to tote with you to the campground I really can’t think of anything negative to say about it. I’m going to go ahead and give this thing 5 stars.
