DO NOT BUY THIS TOOL ... was trying to use this on a GM LQ9 engine and the collet to remove the pulley has too much slop in it, therefore not a snug fit, which causes the collet to slip right off the nose of the pulley. If the tolerances were tighter, it would work, but the ring is a set size, which is too large. Buy a nicer, more expensive tool and complete the job in minutes instead of faffing about with this tool for hours.

The technique for pulley removal & replacement is great. Be aware the process takes significant torque on the appropriate bolt and nut! I was able to remove the pully ok, my challenge was the replacement part of the tool. The nut you need to turn was too small for me to get enough torque on it. So I welded a bigger nut over it and then had success.
