If you are new to the world of buckwheat groats they are an amazing little bundle of health benefits. They are gluten free to start, high in protein and in fiber. It really is a little superfood. A Ukranian family has introduced me to buckwheat groats recently. Now I know why Eastern Europeans are so healthy. I was so thrilled to know that �鶹�� has a lot of sellers offering this product. At first, I bought from another brand which also garnered good reviews. When I was about to place my second order, I just realized that the seller had increased the price by 16% in a matter of 2 weeks. That led me to look for other brands and I was so glad I found Bob's Red Mill. I was also very glad that it is sold at a reasonable price hence the purchase.

Bob's buckwheat groats are so fresh and clean. It comes in a nice resealable package. It was also delivered very promptly.

When cooking, I use 1 cup groats to 2 cups water. Here’s what I do:

1. Boil water on high heat.
2. Add the groats.
3. When the mix starts to re-boil, give it 1 minute then cover the pot with the lid.
4. Turn off the heat completely.
5. Let it sit for 20 to 30 minutes to absorb all the water.
6. Enjoy the meal.

I just add salt and olive oil. The possibilities are endless; you can add your favorite veggies or fruits. It goes well with scrambled eggs too – yummy yummy! Going forward, I will be buying from Bob's Red Mill.

I bake a lot of bread at home, and some recipes require a medium 7-grain hot cereal mix. I would go through a pre-mixed bag of hot cereal way too quickly, so I chose to make my own. It's stored in our chest freezer, along with several other grains. When I need some for a bread recipe, I whip up a batch of 7-grain hot cereal mix myself.
