Product description

Orbit tripod sprinkler features a heavy duty 1/2 in. zinc head that is adjustable to reach up to 80 ft. in diameter in a partial to full circle. It is attached to a tripod base that adjusts from a 16 in. to 37 1/2 in. height. The base connects easily to a standard garden hose by a gooseneck attachment.

    Generally a really good sprinkler. I've bought a few so far. Before I used to have to move a sprinkler 5 times to cover my entire lawn, now I only have 1 of these in the front and back yard each. Puts down big heavy drops over a large area. Combine this with a automatic timer and you're all set!

    About the worst part of it, is the head of the sprinkler seems quite fragile. I've had to replace 2 of them so far.

    Bought two, like the concept and will probably get another sprayer on legs. BUT this morning, as I opened the hose to one of them, the water pressure (coupled with wind & one leg set to shorter due to an elevation) caused the tripod to fall over and spray 180* into the air.

    SO, having metal loops on the foot to be able to anchor feet to the ground would have been a better design imo !

    Very happy with the function, ideal for my sloping block.
    The only thing letting this product down is the constriction materials used for the legs. They are corroding away under the paint (not anodized) after 3 months of use. This makes it problematic then trying to adjust the leg length. This is the last thing I would have expected from a sprinkler.

    I chose this product because it had better reviews for the strength of the tripod than others sold on 鶹. I had bought one sprinkler in which the tripod was so badly made that I was amazed anyone would sell it at all - see my review. The Orbit tripod is a well made product and strong enough for the purpose intended, although stronger ones are available from trade suppliers. The female screw thread in the Orbit tripod is brass, which is much better than the plastic some other products use and doesn't leak. With the legs extended, it doesn't fall over as some reviewers claim. I can't speak for the sprinkler as I use a spinner instead. The spinner is from Darlac and works a treat.

    Seems well made, though with only a few weeks of use the pins that form part of the clamps on the extending legs have started to rust. I know the size is listed on the ad, but this is a lot smaller than I imagines and although the sprinkler has a decent throw, it is limited by the short height of the tripod. So really, it’s my fault that I didn’t get a taller one.
