- Phenoxyethanol

How to Use Optiphen Plus in DIY Products
- PREPARE YOUR FORMULATION: Ensure your recipe contains a water phase (such as hydrosols or distilled water) as Optiphen Plus is effective for water-based products.
- COOL TO BELOW 176°F (80°C): Once your mixture has been heated and emulsified, allow it to cool to below 176°F (80°C) before adding the preservative to avoid degradation.
- MEASURE ACCURATELY: Add Optiphen Plus at 0.75-1.5% of the total product weight. For example, in 100g of lotion, use 0.75-1.5g of Optiphen Plus.
- STIR THOROUGHLY: Mix well to evenly distribute the preservative throughout your product.
- CHECK YOUR PRODUCT’S PH: Ensure the product's final pH is between 3.0 and 6.0 for optimal preservative performance. Adjust with citric acid or a pH adjuster if necessary.
- STORE YOUR PRODUCT SAFELY: Transfer the finished product to a sterilized, airtight container. Label with the date and ingredients for reference.
