    I bought the smallest model as I have a 2 burner grill. Fits easily onto the grill grates. So far so good. Product is heavy. No defects/damage. I have used it a half a dozen times and no problems. It is not a non-stick surface. The grease trough works fine but I would recommend placing a grease tray between the grates and heat tents to push the grease into. I am thinking of placing something small to elevate the back of the griddle to make it easier for the grease to drain into the trough - maybe a medium sized flat rock? Can be messy to clean but I spray water onto surface as it is cooling down. Takes a few passes but gets majority of debri off - just scrape with non-metallic flipper into grease trough. After fully cooled down, I use a non-abrasive sponge to get remaining food stuff off. Seems to do the job but takes a little time and effort. I would recommend for the price and to avoid buying a full griddle. I will update if any of the surface starts to chip off or rust.

    Have my large barbecue grill on my balcony. Because of the limited space I can't add a griddle which I've been wanting for a long time. This plate was a perfect fit for my barbecue, and it just sits right on top of the grate. This is well made and has a nice finish to it. It works very well, and turns my regular barbecue grill into a griddle.

    It does have an enamel coating on it, so it's easier to maintain than a normal cast iron which requires seasoning.
    I'm very happy with this and I hope it lasts a long time.

    So the biggest feature i want to address is the enamel coating - it makes cleanup a BREEZE compared to raw cast iron, and it holds temp just as well. THAT said, it isn't nonstick like a well-seasoned cast griddle, so you will need to use oil, butter, etc when You cook on it to keep the food from sticking. Warm-up takes awhile (it's cast iron) but holds heat like CRAZY if you're pounding out pancakes, etc.

    For the money, would i buy this or raw cast? Well, unless You are willing to deal with seasoning, correct cleaning and storage, and some of the other headaches that come with raw cast iron, I would lean this way. The other options (Stainless or rolled steel) fall in the middle RE ease of use - but nothing holds heat like cast iron and cooking on this little griddle is actually fun and easy.

    A stainless steel griddle was purchased for me as a gift. I have used it maybe one time on my 3-burner gas grill, before lining with tin foil (which defeats the purpose). Notice the staining and residue that despite my best efforts will not come clean...plus the grease catcher has an insert to remove after use...unfortunately that design allows for grease to drip onto the burners, making a mess.

    The new one (enameled cast iron) distributes heat evenly, cleans up well, and the grease catcher is part of the single piece construction.

    It is, because it is cast iron, extremely heavy. And silicone or polycarbonate scrappers and utensils are needed to prevent damage to enamel coating over time.

    Be aware that while it cleans up easily (compared to stateless steel), the enamel coating is not "non-stick" (but again, cleans up well). Use cooking oil or spray before cooking and it works well.

    I cooked pork chops and veggies on it last evening. What a difference from the stainless-steel type griddle!

    I couldn't be happier with this, and highly recommend it to everyone!
