TO FIT IN DRAWERS, SNAP BOTH RAILS:

Place the rail on a flat surface with an indented snap line at the edge.
Hold the rail down with one hand and clamp the pliers on the desired snap line.
Bend the pliers downward to snap off any unwanted pieces

Not sturdy enough, this comes apart in the drawer very easily with use. It really needed a fastener piece to hold the corners together. They don't click in enough for a secure hold. If you have a lot of heavy files don't buy this. If it's for very light use it'll be perfectly fine. I like that it fits in a drawer because my mom needed file storage but didn't have room for a full file cabinet. I had to "Jimmyrig" it to make it stay in place... But it still comes apart sometimes.
