Pretty mid cable
Brought this cable for my quest 3 for pc link worked great since Christmas 2025..... it's only April 2025 and it's giving me trouble I only use mine for sim racing so I'm not jumping around. Pretty disappointing after paying $109 cdn. I'll be trying $25 dollar cables as I can buy 4 of them.

    I used to be an avid Virtual Desktop user for MS flight simulator with my Quest 3 but decided to give the genuine Oculus cable a try. I find I am able to obtain much better clarity and frame rates using this cable over the Virtual Desktop wifi.
    On a side note I was using a dedicated Wifi 6 5G router for the Quest 3, but the Meta cable is by far better, just be sure to adjust the resolution, bitrate and pixel density settings in both Oculus app and either Oculus Debug Tool or Oculus Tray tool.

    Bit pricey for a cable but figured what the heck might as well get the oculus branded cable for the oculus, not sure if it's a knock off or just poor manufacturing standards but everything about it just seemed poorly done (packaging wise) almost looks like when you print a photo on non photo paper and the image is all faded and washed out, as for the cable itself over all nice quality and works fine but the logo is about 3/4 missing from one end. Again the cable works fine, it's a good length and I have no issues with function. Just for the cost of it one would think they'd have slightly higher standards even if it's something as silly as a logo being properly displayed, just makes it seem more of a knock off...

    Why 5 m ??? at 3m would have been more than enough. And "maybe" the data transfer would not suffer losses as much ?
    this is to play VR while tethered to your PC... who sits 5 m (16.5 ft) away from their PC to play a game ?? Never heard of anyone. Lots a resistance in the cable, so data losses are horrible.

    While the link cable looks nice, feels nice, and works part of the time, it's incredibly faulty to justify the ridiculous pricetag. I bought it thinking this would ensure the best connection for using my Quest 2 for PCVR, but no, it's junk. I can't go more than half an hour without a random "PC Disconnected" message, which is insanely frustrating when playing lengthier games like Halflife Alyx. Whenever this happens I have to take off the headset, shut down the game, shut down Steam, restart the Oculus app on my PC and start again. This happens regularly using either the USBC port on my 2080TI, or on the motherboard itself. Not sure if it's a faulty cable, bad link software, or what, but Oculus has been zero help in correcting the issue. Spent two weeks dealing with support, sending logs back and forth, over and over, went through their standardized checklist of generic possible fixes(most of which having nothing to do with link, but humored them anyway), just to have them say "will have to look into this further" and stop responding.
    This is what I get for buying the first run of new hardware before they work out the faults. Don't buy this cable. Quest 2 is still good on it's own(for low level games/apps), but if you're wanting something for PCVR I'd highly recommend a different headset. They might be pricier, but well worth it to avoid this headache.
