    I think that pretty much sums up what this is. In fact, it's two of them. And they have plastic handles molded on to the ends of them.

    They are quite thick and appear to be pretty solid. I wasn't able to bend them with my tests by holding all my body weight. They are perfect to removing the tension from the garage door spring.
