Smart Rodent Detection – Pet & Children Safe, Updated Pyroelectric Infrared Sensor

Pet-safe Dual Infrared Sensor - The chamber is designed with two infrared sensors, one at the entrance and one at the back. Owltra only activates when it detects a rodent inside the trap - preventing false zaps while protecting children and small pets.

The updated pyroelectric infrared sensor increases the success rate of catching rodents.

Note: the inside metal plate may appear a little bit "scratched", which is our unique design to better conduct electricity. This does not indicates a defective/used product.

LED Indicator Lights

LED light notifies you when the job is done. When the light blinks green, you’ll know to empty out the trap. Batteries are running low when the light blinks red.

Quick-Zap System & No Touch, No See Features

Our unique zap system ensures elimination without causing the rodent to suffer. It’s also a safer alternative to traditional traps and can be placed anywhere inside your home or business. With magnetic latches, you’ll never have to touch or see the rodent. Simply pull off the trap's lid and empty the rodent in the trash. Owltra deactivates automatically when the the top is removed, allowing for safe and secure cleaning.

Convenient Bait Area

Lure rodents in by placing a pea-sized amount of bait at the back of the trap. Simply lift open the bait door and use a toothpick or cotton swab to apply bait on the trap's floor, opposite of the entrance. Baits high in protein, such as peanut butter, are recommended.

Place Owltra rodent traps anywhere indoors, including but not limited to: home, office, café, restaurant, stores, etc.

How to Use Owltra Rodent Zapper Trap

1. Insert Batteries

Turn the switch to OFF Position, inset the batteries.

2. Load the Bait

Lift the bait cover and put bait into the bait cup. Please place the bait correctly as shown in the picture. Wrong placement may cause the trap fail to work, or the bait may be eaten without rodent being caught.

Power-on the Device and Set the Trap

Close the bait cover, turn the power switch to ON Position.

Place the traps where rat activity is frequent, entrance facing out.

CAUTION: OWLTRA electric traps can only be used indoors. Please do not use this product outdoors to avoid damage of the product.

4. Cleaning the Trap

The upper electric part couldn’t be cleaned by water, and the lower part of the trap chamber can be washed with water. After cleaning, please wait for the trap chamber to thoroughly dry before turning it on, otherwise it may cause the power-on self-test to fail (both red and green light flash). If necessary, you can use a hair dryer to dry the metal plate. Then restart it. Close the switch until it can start normally.

Noticed mice presence around the garbage bins in house and got this trap. It worked perfectly, used a peanut as bait and caught 10 of them over span of a month. I tried to post a picture of the catch in the original review but �鶹�� banned it (that’s the world we live in - a mouse trap listing is not allowed to have a trapped mouse pic).
Owltra support is also good. They timely helped to resolve the issue of constantly blinking red light. First suggested to use non-rechargeable batteries but it didn’t help so they sent a new item.

Followed instructions exactly and this unit didn't catch a single thing over the 2 weeks it was in use. After this experiment I put out a traditional baited snap trap and caught a rat within hours. Also put out rat poison (Warfarin) and they ate it up - found one of the poisoned rats dead outside on the lawn.

Following the snap traps and poison, purchased a 6-pack of plug-in Ultrasonic Pest Repellers and have not seen any more evidence of mice or rats since.

The OWLTRA Indoor Electric Mouse Trap was a waste of money.

We have been using two OLWTRA electronic traps for just over a week. The device is very easy to assemble and take apart in basically two pieces (not counting installing/removing) the batteries. I REALLY appreciate the simplicity in using these, especially compared to the challenges of using conventional spring traps. We were using the more well known brand name of wood platform spring traps and I just recently had the spring and bar mechanism pull away from the wood while I was attempting to set it. The trap mechanism exploded back and cut open my fingers. NEVER again. Additionally, half the time the spring trap wouldn't arm and I just throw it out1

Back to this device. Assembly is a simple as pulling apart the base and the cover to expose the bait tray. I use a toothpick and some peanut butter and it's as good as sounding a dinner bell! The cover and base appear to slide together and be secured via magnet. Once the top is on, you simple slide in 4 AA batteries following the layout etched in the battery tray. Slide the battery cover on, toggle the switch to on and get a green light flash. it really is that simple.

Once a pest is caught, the green light flashes every few seconds so you know it's time to empty the trap. And yes, I will confirm that if you really don't want to see what's in there, you CAN pull apart the cover and base holding them away from your vision and just dump the 'contents' into a trash bin without ever having to see, touch, or handle anything. And from the moment we placed and activated these, we literally caught 9 critters inside of a couple of days. We're still working on finding their point(s) of entry and that will take time, but these traps are a god send and so amazingly clean and simple to use. I wish we hadn't waited as long to get them.

As for the one enhancement that would move this to 5 out to 5...wifi and an app that would notify you when you need to emplty the trap. There was a day where I barely emptied and re-armed the trap then another guest checked in but didn't check out. I found myself having to frequently check to make sure that nothing was sitting there for too long.

This product really has been a welcome addition to our battle to rid our home once and for all from field mice. Doesn't help that we live next door to farm land and finding every single dime-sized hole that a field mouse can squeeze through takes time.

Thank you OWLTRA for the design and creation of this product. Would really love to see you add wifi and an app to make this the perfect solution for ridding your home of mice, cleanly and efficiently!

Es ist die beste Falle, die ich je hatte.

Da die Auslösung über eine Lichtschranke erfolgt, kommt es bei dieser Falle weder auf das Geschick des Fallenstellers bei der Beköderung noch auf das der Maus beim Rauben des Köders an.
Die Maus ist tot, bevor sie den Köder (z.B. Nutella) tatsächlich erreicht hat.

Die Falle zeigt durch ein Lichtsignal an, wenn ein Fang erfolgte. Erscheint das Lichtsignal nicht (weil nichts gefangen wurde), kann man sich durch Aus- und Wiedereinschalten von der (weiterhin) bestehenden Betriebsbereitschaft überzeugen.

Da die Maus nicht verletzt wird, wird auch die Falle innen nicht verschmutzt. Das tote Tier kann ohne Berührung entfernt und die Falle sofort wieder eingesetzt werden.

Nachdem ich an drei Tagen drei Mäuse gefangen hatte, habe ich alle mechanischen Fallen, die in der selben Zeit erfolglos geblieben waren, weggeworfen.

Leider habe ich dann doch nicht so viele Mäuse - sonst hätte ich ganz sicher noch weitere dieser genialen Fallen gekauft.

El producto si funciona. Sólo ocupo 2 días para que pudiera efectuar su trabajo. Les recomiendo que si en la primera puesta no logran capturar al ratonsito, cambien el lugar en donde colocan la máquina porque posiblemente es más su rumbo.
