Make Sure You Have Proper Tools
These tools are ok once out together, the instructions were hard too follow and make sure you have your own tools. Once together they serve their purpose but the big rolly thing take more effort that a rake to level with dirt. The roller does limit many rocks from being spread if you're working with no as clean dirt as you'd like. The rake type tool I have zero use for and the aerator to put holes the soil but we don't do that much here. If you buy these tools you may like them for your yard or garden but for me I'll stick to a good ol' rake and regenerative practices.

    This is a great kit, I was pleasantly surprised that the spreader was actually a 36" and not 24" like advertised. Mine didn't come with any instructions, though from other comments it doesn't sound like they were too helpful. Each item had the hardware attached to the handles which was nice, no guesswork on which piece they belonged to. Everything went together very easily even without the instructions.
    I gave it 4 stars over all as I didn't get instructions with mine, and I'm not certain I got the handle fixed to the dum correctly, I'm not sure how all the washers and nuts are supposed to go together, it rolls but stiff so I'll need to adjust. if anyone has any pics on how they got theirs together please let me know.
    Aside from that, each piece is quite sturdy, the levelling rake handle does flex a little but I'm not concerned with that.

    The instructions are not good….just a photocopy page for each of the 4 items. Very hard to see or to make out the images. We just had to figure it out on our own. Tip: the pieces for the spreader and aerator have silver screws, while the soil sampler and leveler have black screws. I would also recommend having 2 people for the assembly of the spreader, it will go faster and be less frustrating for one person to hold the pieces in place, while the other attaches the screws/bolts. Once you survive the assembly, the assembled the tools are very well built, with solid welds. The only weak piece is the extremely long handle of the leveler…kind of shaky in the middle piece of the handle. Also to note…the listing says the compost spreader barrel is 24”L x 16” diameter, but the one in my kit is 36”L x 16”D…. I’m not complaining as the 36”L is perfect and I definitely prefer that over the shorter 24” length.

    Overall this is a very good kit, aside from the horrible assembly instructions. If you are going to use at least 2 out of the 4 pieces, you have likely already gotten your money’s worth in the saving of getting this kit as opposed to getting them individually.

    This is a 4Pcs Lawn Care Tool Kit. It contains a 16”WX36”L Compost and Peat Moss Spreader, 20" Soil Sampler Probe,10”WX42”L Hollow Tine Lawn Aerator, and a 10”DX30”LX75”H Lawn Leveling Rake. The metal used in the construction of all the devices in the kit is nice and heavy. The paint is well applied and it should last.

    The instructions for assembly aren't well done. The only assembly instructions included are for the spreader and for the aerator. They are just reduced size photocopies of a printed page and the print size is small. Luckily, the assembly is relatively easy to figure out.

    The compost and peat moss spreader is advertised as a 24" wide spreader but it is actually 36" wide. Once it is assembled, it is sturdy and easy to roll. The mesh seems to be wide enough to allow peat moss or other fine material to get pushed through for distribution.

    The leveler rake is heavy with a long handle so you can spread lawn top dressing around easily without it floating up too much. It is wide enough to give you a nice even surface.

    The aerator is great for aerating small areas of your lawn. I wouldn't want to manually do a large area but his is great for small touch ups on areas where it has gotten compacted. The device is stiff which is good, and the cutting tubes are nice and strong. There are metal shavings inside the tubes on mine from when they cut the angles on the cutting tubes. These were then painted over and are part of the tube inside, which causes soil to get stuck. I had to file them out with a round file to remove them. This removes the protective paint coating but it needed to be done.

    There is also a soil sample tool. It is great for pushing into the soil to take a vertical sample of the soil layers. The tool is open on the side of the tube so the soil sample is easy to access when you drive it into the ground. The ground needs to be fairly soft because you need to push it down by hand and the round tube is not sharp at the end.

    Overall, this is a nice set to do all your lawn soil maintenance. The set is heavy so it should last.
