Directions

Please refer to the manual for complete setup and usage instructions. To help ensure an accurate reading, follow these directions: • Stress raises blood pressure. Avoid taking measurements during stressful times. • Measurements should be taken in a quiet place. • It is important to take measurements at the same times each day. Taking measurements in the morning and in the evening is recommended. • Remember to have a record of your blood pressure and pulse readings for your physician. A single measurement does not provide an accurate indication of your true blood pressure. You need to take and record several readings over a period of time.

This Omron blood pressure monitor gives fast and accurate readings, with the added benefit of AFib detection.

This monitor is easy to set up and use. It can be paired with the Omron Connect app, and the readings immediately sync to my phone every time I check my blood pressure. This is a great feature for keeping up with my daily readings, and for sharing them with my doctor.

My mom has an irregular heart rhythm, and also AFib, so I asked her to test out the AFib detection abilities of this monitor. This monitor accurately detected both the irregular rhythm, and AFib. We compared her results from this blood pressure monitor to the results from her personal EKG monitor, and they both showed the same readings.

My only complaint with this monitor is that when it detects AFib, it will show "AF" on the screen, but does not show your blood pressure reading. When it detects an irregular rhythm, it shows that you had an irregular rhythm, and also displays your blood pressure reading. I wish it would do the same for AFib.

Omron makes some of the best blood pressure monitors out there and these home units are just fantastic to use in your day-to-day life. I generally like these cuffs, this one here has a really wide range of arm fitting and I think it's one of the better cup designs out there. My big problem with this is it does not ship with a power supply. So that loses one star for me. But it does work compatibly with older Omron units, so the replacement of an older unit works with the same power supplies. But for checking your blood pressure at home, this is definitely device to have for better accuracy between doctor's visits when you're likely rushed already.
