Loving this thing, it just looks sleek and classy. Easy to turn off if the lights annoy you, or just keep the lights off in general. All the colours look great too. As for charging, it charges fast, and I like that it shows what state the controller is in, you don't have to wonder if it's done yet or leave a near fully charged controller for hours on the station because you forgot if you used this one or not.

It is a bit awkward to put it inside, it's more upwards than what I thought it would be, but once I got the gist of it I was able to slide them in without thinking. You can't even mess up, if it doesn't click then it will just fall out, you know if it works or not. I've been using it for months with no problems. This looks awesome on my tv table.

I picked this charging dock up to make it easy for me to charge my PS5 controllers without plugging them into the console.

Physically, the charging dock looks nice and follows the same aesthetic as the PS5. While I don’t have mine next to my console, it wouldn’t look out of place alongside the console. The charging cradles are angled back slightly and feature pins to help align the controllers when putting them on the dock. I find that it can still be a bit finnicky to find the right angle, but it’s not too bad, and given the convenience of not needing cables, it’s a small sacrifice. The dock is powered by a USB-C connector on the back, with a switch next to it to turn the dock on or off. This is a nice addition, but I would’ve preferred if the switch was easier to access (eg. on the front).

In terms of charging the controllers, this dock works great! I find it takes a similar amount of time to charge my controllers as if I had plugged them into the PS5 with a cable. The controllers only charge when they’re below a certain battery level, and this is clearly indicated on the dock and controller (the controller will flash once, but that is all).

The biggest problem I have with this dock is that the front lights are very low quality. Within months, the blue light started to dim, and now they’re so dim they can barely be seen. This is annoying, because it’s hard to tell sometimes if the dock is turned on or even plugged-in. The front of the dock now looks almost like flat black plastic when neither controller is charging. Thankfully, the red charging lights still work fine, but I’m not optimistic about those lasting either...

Overall, this dock is a good choice for charging your PS5 controllers without the need for cables. The indicator lights are awful, but the overall design and function of the dock is quite good. I would still recommend this dock since it does a good job of charging the controllers safely, but it’s very important to note that the standby lights will almost certainly die within a few months. If those are important to you, look elsewhere.

It does have an on and off switch on the back which is a nice feature. Personally, I’ve left mine on for the entire time I’ve had the charging dock with my controllers on it and haven’t noticed anything wrong with any of my devices. My controller batteries are still lasting for the entirety of my lengthy gaming sessions (between 3-7 hours). I drained the battery on one of my controllers completely, it took the station about 3 hours to charge it fully again.
I like the way the controllers rest, no need to force them into place which helps with the longevity of the dock itself and the controllers, as there’s less risk of any pieces breaking off.
