This little automotive probe can really come in handy for just quick checks to see if something is energized. A little more sophisticated than a simple test light this will give a voltage and resistance readout depending on how the circuit is connected. There is no button to change modes it simply auto detects, however personally I would have liked a physical toggle. Also built in is a continuity beeper, but again there is no dedicated control to swap modes, its just all in one and it decides which you are trying to do.
It is built solidly enough for personal use and even comes in a tiny zip storage, it needs one AAA to operate which is not included. The display is backlit and there is even a tiny led flashlight for the probe itself. The ground clamp isn't the most rugged design but functional, and the coiled line is soft enough to stretch properly. Having a slim probe with the display on it and a clamp for the negative will come in very handy in many instances where I often find myself practically juggling wires and my dedicated multimeter for quick checks.

Not too familiar with the more...scientific parts of the testing, like resistance and stuff. I used this to check the voltages of the fuse box in the car for installing a hardwire kit for the dash camera. Worked like a charm!
✅ The built in light came in clutch. Super handy when the fuse box didn't have much room for another flashlight.
✅ Cable has a cap on it for safety.
✅ Relatively small and comes with a carrying case!
⚠️ I found that the case was a little bit tight. The grounding cable is bent pretty heavily so not sure how that'll impact it in the long run.

I picked this up for a hardwired radar detector project. I used it to probe the fuse panel and figure out which fuse I could tap that would have 12 volts when the car was on, but nothing when it was off. You can see from the first picture that it's in ohm mode because the key is off, but it switches to DC mode and shows 12.04V with it on, indicating the perfect fuse to tap for my radar detector.
It is also good at finding a place to secure the ground wire. I was able to run a wire to my negative battery terminal and probe around on exposed metal and bolts until I found a good spot to attach the ground.
The backlit display is nice, and the built-in flashlight is handy. Overall, it's a great addition to the garage, especially for under $20.

One AAA battery (not included) is required for operation.
Bench testing for DC voltage measurements matched the readings from my multimeter.
The clamp (negative side) and probe (positive side) are stainless steel.
The unit displays negative voltage when the clamp and probe are reversed.
The unit beeps when measuring resistance.
It has the ability to hold the reading display.
There is a 2 second delay when pressing the power button to turn the tester on and off. This reduces the chance of accidentally powering the unit off while in use.
There is an auto shutdown feature for inactivity but it can be cancelled if desired.
The backlight may be turned on or off.
A small single LED "flashlight" works well when working in dark conditions.
It is much easier to use for DC voltage measurements and continuity than a multimeter.
The only thing that I did not like about this tool is that the case is too small and may result in a damaged cord.
