- Reviewed in Canada on October 17, 2023Verified PurchaseThis is the only formula that did not cause my newborn digestive distress and came highly recommended by many others, who also struggled with digestive issues or a milk intolerance in their babies. The only downside is it’s smell, which can only be likened to dog food. So if you can tolerate the smell, I would suggest giving this a try, as we have been quite successful on it, and have heard of great success from others as well.
- Reviewed in Canada on March 9, 2023Verified PurchaseMy daughter is allergic to cows milk and this formula has been amazing. She hadn't had any reactions to this and she takes the bottle well. We have gone through a few of these already
- Reviewed in Canada on June 2, 2019Verified PurchaseMy baby has eczema and I wanted to see if these will help to control it, it definitely did. No more gassy nights, kicking legs in the air, it made her sleep peacefully! However, it has an unpleasant smell and taste. Because of it, baby didn't take it on our first or even second try. I had to Transition gradually by mixing it with the old formula, took baby only 4 days after she can drink it purely. It is expensive but I'll do anything for baby. I even emailed the company to ask for discount coupons and they sent me some!
- Reviewed in Canada on September 15, 2024Verified PurchaseI was recommended this by the pediatrician to help with reflux. Unfortunately it exacerbated his symtoms and also changed the ph of his poop dramatically which gave him large red sores. It smells terrible and baby did not want to eat it, so he would wait until he was starving and gulp it down. I switched back to the Gentleease.
- Reviewed in Canada on January 20, 2023Verified PurchaseMy daughter wasn't diagnosed with a milk allergy but after trying multiple formulas for her constipation this was our last resort. This formula has changed my 2 month old into a happy baby! No more constipation or painful gas.
It did take my baby about 2 weeks to fully adjust. For the first 2 days she wouldn't finish a full bottle. Then for almost 2 weeks she would spit up after every bottle, this was just because the formula is thinner and takes a little bit for there stomach to adjust.
- Reviewed in Canada on June 20, 2023Verified PurchaseI wish I could find the powdered Similac Alimentum instead based on what other people have said —that Similac doesn’t taste like ground up multivitamins and fish oil as this stuff does, but alas, this is all there is that comes close to that formulation and baby seems to tolerate the taste better than I would! It’s easier on baby’s tummy than the Enfamil Gentle Ease formula with very few instances of colic/gas pain and baby is happy and feeding well.
- Reviewed in Canada on October 13, 2024Verified PurchaseDidn’t come opened, or without a lid, or dented. Came perfectly fine, worth the risk especially when the price drops. I’ll be buying again.
- Reviewed in Canada on November 1, 2023Verified PurchaseOur 7 month old was refusing food, formula, everything. This was recommended by our paediatrician. It smells awful, the burps are gross, but he downs it. He’s happy and eating again. We are thrilled.
This is definitely not for every baby, but worth trying if your baby has a milk sensitivity.
