    It costs us a lot of money to purchase strips such as these where the strips are only good for ONE (1) MONTH 1 AFTER IT HAS BEEN OPENED. The amount of strips in the bottle is best used in hospitals settings, doctors offices, nursing stations etc. These strips are made for a health care environment that use these strips daily.

    So why isn’t this company making these strips available to individual members of the general public??
    By this I mean, a patient that is susceptible to UTIs, they need access to these strips that the company has made but not in the amount that is currently made for busy health care settings and once opened … they are only good for one month.

    What would make this product so much better is if the strips are ALL PACKAGED 10 STRIPS TO A SEALED FOIL POUCH. So THAT WOULD MEAN THERE WILL BE 6 SEALED pouches with 10 strips inside each one. When the one month has expired after it being opened for one month…then we only throw out the unused strips from one of the unsealed foiled pouches. Then we still have the rest of the sealed foiled pouches to access fresh strips that are not expired.
    This is a situation that can be more cost effective for the vulnerable and sick …..
    this way it is much more economical than it is to throw the entire contents of a bottle because we do not need so many strips at once and it’s expensive to throw away all the unused strips simple because of the expiration date.
    Why can’t the company look at this situation…. And I am quite sure they are well aware that making an entire bottle of strips available for the general public use will be a way to make more money off the sick and vulnerable persons. I would like to see this company being innovative, creative and being the first company to make these strips in much smaller quantities like I suggested above. I would like to see this company packaging these strips so that there are a few opened at one time. This situation is so much more cost effective for the general public’s use. Although I am a member of the public needing to access these strips, I am also a retired Community Nurse Practitioner.

    We do not want to throw all those strips away every month as it is now…: it is expensive and not cost effective by ONLY making these strips for a health care environment where there are more people needing to be tested. Why can’t this company see that a member of the public that needs access to these strips but in smaller amounts like I have suggested. ….
    To a company rep of these strips ….. will you please look at a better way to serve the general public so we don’t have to throw many many unused strips due to the expiration date. Please put 10 strips in 6 individual sealed foiled pouches so that we only open one pouch of 10 strips at one time which will preserve the rest of the strips in the sealed pouches.
    This makes sense and it is also common sense that these strips be packaged as suggested above so we don’t waste so many unused and expired strips and it is more economical and more affordable to the public.

    These at-home urinary tract infection test strips are very convenient to have around. This kit comes with 60 test strips and a reusable test tube. On the back of the bottle is the color-code chart for helping to interpret the results, but the same information is also listed on the box.

    These test strips not only focus on leukocyte and nitrite values, but also on pH, protein, and blood presence. So, there are five lines of colors to read when analyzing the results. Their chart and instructions make it so easy and clear on how to use and interpret the test strip. I’m very grateful to have these available, as a family member has some history of recurrent UTIs and these will help us make decisions for her care.

    When I did a test this morning for myself, the results were good. I was glad to see my pH was in the normal range. I have been working on lowering my acidity.

    So far, I'm really pleased with these test strips. My only gripe is that they say they have a three year shelf life, but once the bottle is opened it says they’re only good for 30-90 days.

    I found this a little hard to read because the test and result colors don’t match up, especially the protein one, there is no color matchup at all. I won’t buy this brand again. Azo test strips only test for leukocytes and nitrates, but are very accurate, about $16.00 at CVS. I bought these because of the other tests on these strips. So disappointed!
