Loose stools, flatulence, diarrhea, and abdominal discomfort have been reported. If you experience chest pain, vomiting, or difficulty in swallowing or breathing after taking this product, seek immediate medical attention.

Ingredients

Each ¼ teaspoon contains: Glucomannan 1 g (from Konjac Root) (Amorphophallus konjac, K. Koch). Non-Medicinal Ingredients: None.

Directions

Adult Dosage: Take ¼ teaspoon 3 times daily. For each gram of glucomannan, mix with at least 240 mL liquid (water, milk, fruit juice or similar aqueous beverage). Stir briskly and drink immediately. Not to be taken immediately before bedtime. Take ½ to 1 hour before meals. Take 2 hours before or after taking other medications. Taking this product with insufficient liquid may result in choking and/or esophageal blockage/obstruction of the throat, esophagus or intestine. Consult a health care practitioner for use beyond 8 weeks.

    After watching various videos on YouTube, I decided to try the capsules first and then I tried the powder. In the end I like the capsules over the powder. I find the powder turns to gel to quickly. The capsules are phenomenal. When I am doing one meal a day, I take these at 3:00 p.m. when I start to get hungry and then eat dinner at 6:00. Take capsules again at 8:30 p.m. and I'm good until the next day. I find that glucomanon helps the fasting process beyond belief. I find that two grams works best. Highly recommend the product.

    I was initially amazed how much water this powder holds compared to other thickeners like HEC, CMC + Xanthan. It is easily the best for short term thickening. Unfortunately it also looses water at a faster rate than the others and sometimes this is important. Unfortunately if you use this product to make a water based gel, it will break down within about a week and return to a very thin watery like liquid.
