Featuring advanced aerodynamic design measures such as Flow Acceleration Channels and an AAO frame, the NF-A4x10 5V PWM is a PWM enabled 5V variant of Noctua’s award-winning, premium quality quiet 40x10mm fan. The custom designed NE-FD3 PWM IC that integrates Smooth Commutation Drive technology and Noctua’s reference class SSO2 bearings assure superb running smoothness and excellent long-term stability. Topped off with modular cabling and the OmniJoin Adaptor Set Adaptor Set, the NF-A4x10 5V PWM is a premium choice for demanding 5V applications that require PWM control.
5V PWM version
Many devices such as network or storage solutions use 5 volt 40mm fans with PWM speed control. With the same operating voltage, PWM support and the included OmniJoin adaptor set that makes it compatible with proprietary fan headers, the NF-A4x10 5V PWM is ideal for replacing noisy or broken 5V 40mm fans with PWM.
Please Note: Being a 5V fan, the NF-A4x10 5V PWM cannot be run at 12V and will be damaged when used with typical 12V power sources such as PC motherboard fan headers.
Flow Acceleration Channels
The NF-A4x10 impeller features suction side Flow Acceleration Channels. By speeding up the airflow at the crucial outer blade regions, this measure reduces suction side flow separation and thus leads to better efficiency and lower vortex noise.
SSO2 Bearing
The NF-A4x10 features the further optimised second generation of Noctua's renowned, time-tested SSO bearing. With SSO2, the rear magnet is placed closer to the axis to provide even better stabilisation, precision and durability.
Reduced motor hub size
Thanks to its streamlined, compact motor design, the NF-A4x10's motor hub is smaller than with conventional 4cm fans. This allows for more blade surface area and thus contributes to the NF-A4x10's superior airflow and pressure performance.
USB power adaptor cable
The fan includes a USB power adaptor cable that allows it to run on power banks, devices with USB host ports or USB power supplies such as those used for smartphones.

I got this as a fan for a OrangePi 5. Wanted something I could hardly hear after hearing all the OPi users complaining about fans being noisy. I was not disappointed!
Even at full speed this can barely be heard. I had to physically look at the box 2m away from me to see if my script was starting the fan.
The included accessories and information comes in a very well presented box. Everything you could possibly need for a variety of use cases from simple extensions to splicing blocks. Everything nicely explained in an included foldout.
I'm seriously considering replacing all my computer fans with Noctua now. If they put this much effort in to a tiny fan, I trust they'll deliver the goods for a bigger fan too.

You need a DC/DC converter to convert the 24volt to 5v what is no problem.
I have montage it with the original connector on the fan side and the in box connector on the printer side and the DC/DC converter in the mainboard compartment.
Disclaimer: I think for me it is good enough. But on higher Temps you need a directer airflow to the extruder.
