Are you looking for a new Pokemon challenge? With a focus on continuing the story, Pokemon Emerald brings together elements and characters from Pokemon Ruby and Sapphire. Emerald is the third adventure to take place in the Hoenn region, and it features all new areas and exciting new plot twists.

In Pokemon Emerald, your character is an aspiring Pokemon Trainer and new inhabitant of Littleroot Town. You'll enter the neighborhood amid a truckload of boxes, eager to explore your new environment. Eventually, you'll stumble upon a challenge that forces you to select from three Pokemon -- Torchic, Mudkip or Treecko. Once you decide, you can begin your quest to become the world's greatest Pokemon Trainer.

If you've played the Ruby or Sapphire installments, you'll recognize many of the locations in Emerald. Although familiar, quite a lot has changed in Emerald. The most exciting addition is Battle Frontier. No matter how well you think you know Hoenn, you will always discover something entirely new. Plus, you may even encounter a new Gym Leader in your journeys.

You are up against stiff competition in Emerald. Team Magma and Team Aqua once again look to disrupt the peaceful civility of Hoenn. Unlike Ruby and Sapphire, both gangs have set up camp in this adventure. That means you'll be facing double-the-evil, double-the-clever, scheming plans. To really spice things up, Emerald has added sightings of the rare Pokemon Rayquaza. The plot thickens!

The Battle Frontier of Pokemon Emerald brings together seven battle facilities. Each area provides a unique battle experience. Special Trainers called Frontier Brains head each facility and they will test every aspect of your combat skills. Your victories will be memorialized in the form of Frontier Symbols, and you must defeat the Frontier Brain at each location several times in order to earn your awards.

With new locations like Battle Dome, Battle Arena, Battle Factory, and Battle Pike, Pokemon Emerald will throw you awesome new twists and challenges. The new adventure in Hoenn is full of adventure and has plenty of opportunities to hone your battle skills. Just keep your composure, explore the island, and you can become the world's greatest Pokemon Trainer.

    Buggy and full of weird audio and visual glitches, every time you turn on the game you get some filler text saying "previous save file will be loaded, game can be played" and then in game there whenever i save the audio glitches out, had to do the whole e4 with the beeping of a pokemon at low health in the background... even though none of my pokemon were at low health... and i wasnt even in a battle for most of it. Also sometimes when saving the entire screen glitches out into weird horizontal strokes of green and red. Luckily I havent lost my save yet but all in all really disappointed with the game, $60 isnt cheap and when i pay that kind of money i would like a fully functional game.

    I ordered my copy of Emerald from Deluxe Games. The game was 100% legitimate, in working condition, and despite being used looked as if it were right out of the box. The internal battery was dry though (which for those not in the know means that the in game clock won't run) so no time based events can be taken advantage of. I can't really blame the distributor for that because good luck finding a copy of Emerald that doesn't have that problem. Still $88 was a bit steep for a game that has a crippled clock. Also it arrived fast (in two days) so I'm really happy with that.

    Overall happy with the purchase despite the price. One thing was wrong but it was something you could almost expect to be wrong and wasn't the fault of the distribute so I would recommend buying from Delux Games at the very least. Be careful otherwise because there are fakes out there and they often do not work.

    Crap... Game was advertised as an original game, but this version i purchased from repro games, was a cheap knock off.... The game works so far, but ive only had it for 2 days, oh yea shipping was 3 days late -_- apparently after about 2weeks, reproduction game with corrupt themselves and stop saving!!
    I haven't had this issue YET! But you can tell just by looking at the sticker on the game cartridge that its a cheap knock off with out the reflective coating on the sticker label...

    Im over all very disappointed because i never would have purchased this item unless it was a original game!

    Arrived very quickly and is exactly the game I was looking for. I have always loved the pokemon games since I was a child. This game felt like a nice trip down memory lane and really in a good way! I enjoyed all the newer looks on the old story line that really made my childhood.

    I ordered it used from "We_aint_got_no_money" and they did a great job of giving me a real copy in a timely manner. I have ordered from them 3 times now and have never had any issues with them. They even gave me a free individual case to store the game in. If you are worried about fakes, I recommend ordering from these guys, They have never done me wrong. All 3 games (LeafGreen, FireRed, and Emerald) that I ordered from them, came quickly and with nice matching cases. No instructions, but pokemon games tell you how to proceed within the game, so no worries there.

    Overall, I loved this game and would recommend it to other pokemon lovers.

    Der Zustand ist besser als Beschrieben gewesen. Der Sticker auf der Vorderseite war noch fast wie neu, als wäre die Edition erst vor kurzem geöffnet worden.

    ABER!!!

    Eine viel zu große, neue Batterie wurde eingebaut. Das ganze Gehäuse der Smaragd Edition war gebogen. Habe diese jetzt rausgemacht und hab die passende Knopf-Zelle reingemacht. Als Sammler muss ich auf jeden Fall für den Pfusch 2 Sterne Abzug geben. Hätte mir gewünscht dass die originale Batterie dringewesen wäre. Spiel funktioniert aber trotzdem 1 A.
