Anyone who criticizes the Switch Lite clearly cant grasp it’s probably not meant for them. Yes it loses the “switch” selling feature of removable joycons and other bonuses such as rumble controls and the dock, but for someone like me who would never have interest in those features anyways, this is a great product at a great price.
I bought a used 3DS XL for half the price of the Switch Lite and I have no regrets buying that over say a Wii. I prefer casual playing on handhelds. I don’t need all the great features of the Switch to have a great play experience.
Also, it’s affordable. For anyone who’s wanting to get in to Nitendo but doesn’t want to spend several hundred on a more complicated set up, get the Switch Lite. I’ve been loving it and have no regrets.
Besides, I LOVE the design of the SW/SH exclusive Lite. It’s awesome!

Satisfying for Pokémon fans
Exactly what I ordered. You pay a bit more for the pokemon design but otherwise it's the same as other lite editions. My switch works perfectly fine and I can play for hours, completely losing track of time. The setup can take a while with downloading updates, if your internet is slow. Once you plug in the device it takes you from there on how to set up, which is easy. It feels lighter than a smartphone to hold. The controls take a while to get used to but you'll get used to them and it will feel comfortable. I got the Pokemon game with it and it feels great to play together.
