This does not work for the switch 2 at all. If you look at the stock photo, it fits perfectly inside facing forward. Look at picture 1 of mine. The joy cons do not fit inside like it is shown. You have to turn it around in order for the joy cons to not be touched (picture 2). The stock photo also shows that the switch is much smaller than it is because the switch 2 sticks out a lot more in real life (picture 3) so when you close the lid, the top foam piece is squishing the switch in the box, some might say its holding it securely inside but the foam is pressing down hard on the Left and Right bumpers on the top. I think they had this built for the switch one but then randomly added the number 2 onto it without measuring it. I would not recommend for the switch 2. If it fit securely like the stock photo, it would have been a lot better.

    Update, I ordered the case before the Switch 2 was released. The case itself is good and hard, however the clips are not very secure. Doesn’t take much pressure to release them. Top and bottom foam is extremely thin. Receive my switch, and come to learn the console doesn’t even fit in the assigned position within the foam. At least not easily and properly. They could have used the space within the case better to allow for a second pro controller and maybe a spot for an hdmi cable. Mines going back. I’m opting for a generic hard plastic case with stronger clips and cubed foam so I can customize the inside to carry exactly what I need.

    This absolutely does NOT fit the SWITCH 2. I cannot close the case with it inside, thats with and without the joy-cons attached.

    The case itself seems fairly decent quality, but the advertising is not accurate and makes it seem like a cash grab to coincide with the SWITCH 2 release.

    This case works just fine for the Switch 2. The reviews with pictures have them putting the switch 2 in the wrong way. The reviews about the case not close is because there is like a half inch thick foam at the top of the case. With normal use that foam will form around the console and the case will close with no issuess.
